Wow! This is just getting better and better. Just another question on the topicof stations--would a plopped station without transit (like the maxis station or one of PEG's rural stations) enabling work ok with the STR? Obviously they may not be ideal, but a little strategic lot placement around them could still give a nice effect.

EDITYep.  Works just fine.

Hello, David!

The STR is coming along quite beautifully, my friend! You have so many wonderful projects going on here, you must have 30 hours in a day!

Oh, and also--Page 66 is now on the record over at the 3RR-ST Archive.

Have a great weekend!

Dustin

EDIT: Page 65's up now, too!

Heblem

I find that alcohol, taken in sufficient quantities, can bring about all the effects of drunkenness.

This is so bleeding edge it isn't even alpha yet.

You are looking at fully functional draggable STR.  Let me say that again.

Fully.  Functional.  Draggable.  STR.

We changed the game forever today.  Again.

...

Later.

Mr Edgren you have my attention.  Well it is not like you didn't before but yeah...  STR... this is good.

I have just spent a happy couple of hours reading from page 248..  you can thank your linkie over at Simpeg for that.

This is what I posted over there...
QuoteSingle track...  now that is seriously cool...  I don't know the percentage but a fair proportion of New Zealand's rail network would be single track...  in fact I was on a train once in the middle of the night and it broke down on a single track section of the main trunk line between Auckland and Wellington...  they had to hijack a freight train loco to get us on our way again.  They did hand out free pies though.

Wooooooooooooo Woo. Now I can actually build rail lines in my region of Indianapolis. A lot of lines here in Indy are SLRs so this is great. Fair train anyone.  ;) I've been watching the progress David just haven't commented in a while. That's RL for ya.  :( Keep on riding on "that Midnight train to Georgia. WOOO WOOO!!"

I just spent the last two days...

...learning how to make transportation puzzle pieces.

...you folks have no clue what you are in for now!...

Oh, goodness.

:o

Earlier, I heard that David was on the NAM Team.  Now, I'm hearing that he knows how to make puzzle pieces?  He's getting powerful!  (not to say that he wasn't already)

Dave, the pieces are great, but I hate to say this... :-[ the pieces does not really show a transition from Double track to single track...

By transition, I meant this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/railhead799/2556920725/

In the pictures from URL, note the transition a bit away from the diamond crossing.

Someone mentioned telephone poles a few posts back, and it reminded me of something I saw the other day here in Fiji. I'm guessing they installed this one when the tide was out?  :D

Mass, I really don't think David's gonna leave it like that! He's far too much of a perfectionist...  ;D

EDITMarisa, I would have hated to have been the guy they handed the shovel that morning... -DE

dedgren

Heh!  The first puzzle piece I made took me two days to complete, because I didn't know how to make one.

The second took 45 minutes...

...would have been 30 'cept for a stupid mistake.

Does that address your issue, Mass?

* * *

Oh, I'm not falling for that "Double-0" trick again.

...99 and counting...

Later (off making puzzle pieces).
