I still remember the very first "Pathfinding Modd" and the "Transit Bugfix" by the7trumpets, which where the initial starting point of the NAM in mid/late 2003, even before "Rush Hour" was released. Back then, it was groundbreaking alright, custom modding had just begun, and we were glad that the community was able to fix some annoying bugs and quirks that Maxis/EA left in the original game files.

It was a modest start, and nobody could have imagined into what the NAM developed over all those years, with so many additions and expansions of the transit network, like the roundabouts, GLR, diagonal streets, rail viaducts, and then all-new "networks" like RHW, NWM, HSR, all those custom bridges, countless puzzle pieces and now the transition to FLEX stuff, and many many more!
Congrats to the NAM Team for their achievment, and I'm very happy that there are still active developers who dedicate lots of work and time into the project, despite of all woes, such as the aging game and the shrinking community, RL workload and many other things that are more important these days. Thank you very much, guys!
