So here's a few more pics from ongoing development in Quad H, which was started as my "free play" quad back in Challenge 1.

As you can see, progress is slow, but that's what you get when you do these 15 minutes at a time.

Have to say that I got a jump scrolling onto that last pic...  I was admiring the first three, hit that fourth, and realized (with great relief) that I'm not the only one to super-detail a small area, snap a couple of screenshots, and leave the rest for later.

It's little details like the stones and weeds around the fences and telephone poles that really make those pics great.  My hat's off to you.
You're telling me I get to be home for more than 12 months?

Impossible to make it look more country than this. Great job. Looks like just about in my neighborhood.

My basic power station layout.

This is still in the initial plop stage.  I'll be adding detailing and such.  I think the concept, though, worked out quite nicely, if I do say so myself.  That's game water at the bottom of the dam and plop water filling the impoundment.

And a final bump to preview the water plant, which pumps water from the foothills and stores it in an onsite tank for distribution to the region.

I just need to create the worker housing for the water plant, bundle it together with the rest of the challenge components, and Challenge 2 will be history.

I liked the compliment you left in my thread for challenge 2, but I think it's clear you left yours out of the running when you made it. These two facilities are quite well done. The dam has been used to great effect, and the dual power lines add a perfect touch of realism to suggest the quantity in transmission. The winding road up to the water tank just seems so realistic too (and reminds me of one near where I used to live in Reno). Interesting to see where the fence stops though. Do you plan to continue it around the facility or is it just there to help keep the honest people out? Great work, and I'll be interested to see your challenge finished.
