Glad you could find the stuff. 100% restoration is a worthy goal, but probably not attainable. However, as much as possible needs to be restored.

A new update in the archives? These hard drives are just like ancient artifacts -- you never know what you may find. I also thank you for your comments in my equivalent to your archives -- PM's Older Regions.

Haljackey

Hello everyone, just to let you know the restoration is in progress...

In the meantime, I have set up a page for the GTR on the new SC4 Wiki.  You can check it out here:

http://www.wiki.sc4devotion.com/index.php/Greater_Terran_Region

The article still needs a lot of work, but I have some basic information up.  There is also a photo gallery and a video link.

Consider this a mini-update as I continue to work away at both the GTR and the new Wiki.

Enjoy!

Best,
-Haljackey

Hello everyone, just another quick update.

Repairs to the past updates on ST are nearly complete. I also a have a new sig image, replacing the old, outdated one that has existed since the start of this MD. What do you think about it?

On the SC4 Wiki, I have also developed a custom userbox for the GTR to be used in your userpage. If you haven't already, check out SC4 Wiki sometime and get an account there. The site is expanding in both users and articles everyday!

I plan to have a new update sometime tomorrow. In it, I also plan to respond to your comments as I have been putting them back for some time.

Best,
-Haljackey

Update Time!

Its time for another historical update!  While doing some cleaning in my computer, I found a lot of old files which I am using to update my archives page (link in my signature), but I also found some old stuff from the GTR!

Picture Information:

Because this is a historical update, I have resized these pictures to a standard resolution.  Don't worry though, the next new update will once again have full resolution images!  :P

Pictures:

Outside of the CBD:

Interesting RHW interchange:

The same interchange now open to traffic.

A close up of the loop ramp:

My first Multi-RHW MIS interchange:

Old urban decay during some of the "hard times" in the region.

RHW upgrading:

Out of town connection.  These mass transit lines link up to that huge station in Witburg I posted not too long ago.

Stadiums in Downtown:

Traffic backlog:

Anyways I hope you enjoyed this historical tour of Downtown!  The next update will contain newer images!

Nice little historical update there! And that interchange looks pretty sweet!
I bet it looks a lot better now with the better textures and all though.

Update Time!

Unlike the world economy, the GTR is prospering!  Living conditions are way up and growth is continuing to accelerate at an alarming pace.  This update will showcase the pristine, redeveloped areas of Terran Settlement that have benefited from smart investments in the economy.

The area around the new station has completely recovered from urban decay!  It seems that that station really helped boost desirability!

The buildings along the river.  City Hall is the larger building at the bottom.

Prosperity in the residential districts:

Dense buildings near the mass-transit station and RHW shift.

The twin towers overlook the river.

Towering skyscrapers just north of the sunken highway.

Development around the Multi-RHW.

Redevelopment just north of downtown.

Expansion in the southwest part of the city.

Few zones remain undeveloped by the new highway.

That does it now.  Stay tuned!  The next update will be a night showcase!

Great update, my friend! I love seeing the SEV building, it's such a great BAT. I also noticed cobb's residential towers, as well; another of my favorites. Nice work!

This skyline is simply beautiful, Haljackey.  You know, I thought I heard you say this earlier:

Great update! And that's an interesting interchange up there that I see uses the standard (aka OLD) RHW texture - not bad!
My days here are numbered. It's been great and I've had a lot of fun, but I've moved on to bigger and better things.

Very nice, I like the placement of the City Hall there, and, as always, the transport looks great!
