Rumors have been spread over the last few days, and the NAM Team was working diligently behind the scenes to get the next NAM version ready for release. This is the first time that we are releasing a NAM Update, rather than a new full version. The June 2007 NAM was the first that has been made modular, so only updated components need to be replaced by this update. Please note that you need the June 2007 NAM version as a dependency for this update, otherwise some items will not work properly. Before your run off in excitement and install the new NAM version, please make sure to read the included readme first and then take action, otherwise some things might go wrong

What's new?

  • Elevated (heavy) Rail puzzle pieces completely revamped, three different texture styles available, some new pieces added.
  • Underground Rail puzzle pieces with Ped Malls have been added.
  • Increased connectivity for Avenue Roundabout and Avenue Roundabout with Elevated Highway overpass puzzle piece have been added.
  • Smooth Avenue Curve puzzle pieces have been added.
  • Reworked textures for smooth Road and Rail Curves.
  • Raised Avenue Bridge has been added.
  • RHW (Rural Highway mod, released as individual plugin) is now independent of ANT tool.
  • NAM Controller contains RULs for updated RHW (Rural Highway mod) and SAM (Street Addon Mod) plugins (released separately).

Also released was a new Additional Bridge, the Garabit Viaduct by paulvmontfort

The Garabit Viaduct (Viaduc de Garabit in French) is a railroad arch bridge spanning the Truyère river near Ruynes-en-Margeride, in the mountainous Massif Central region. The bridge was constructed between 1880 and 1884 by Gustave Eiffel, with structural engineering by Maurice Koechlin, and was opened in 1885. It is 565 m in length and has a principal arch of 165 m.

For using the Garabit Viaduct in the game, you either need the NAM Update or the updated NAM Essentials.

It has been a while since MIncroabl finished the beta version, but now the El-Rail Facelift Mod was finally released as well. Standard elevated rail networks always have the same basic grass from the underlying terrain textures showing up under the network. While this is fine when the network runs through residential or undeveloped zones, it's a real eyesore in highly developed urban areas.

The el-rail facelift mod was created to remove that pesky grass and replace it with a look that suits them better. The mod adds a new base to elevated rail running through your RCI zones, according to zone type, density and wealth. Additional props will appear according to development; trees, bushes, crates, vehicles, lamps, people and other props liven up the areas under the tracks and give an appearance of developed land.

Best movie of all time: Ferris Bueller's Day Off. If you disagree, Cameron will send your car over a cliff.

Please, call me Leo.  I quote John Lennon now, a great musician and philosopher. Particularly, one of his songs: You may say I'm a dreamer. But I'm not the only one. I hope someday you join us, and the world will live as one.

Thanks NAM Team for your wonderful works. &apls &apls &apls

"$Deal"$ BTW, if someone get a graphic problem with new heavy rail viaduct, remove these files from your Plugins folder. Even if you don't have a problem, you should remove these.

zzz_NAM_Overpass_With_AlternateRailSupport.dat
S3Dconfig_NAMRailUnderOverpass_PEGAlternateRailFix_20070603.dat

These files were in NAM Overpass Support Files For Alternate Rail Set Mod. And if you have downloaded Pegasus's Alternate Railway Mod from SimCityKurier, latter file may be in your Plugins folder. These files are not listed on Cleanitol file, you need to search and remove manually.

There's just one complaint I have which i'm not happy about and that is the fact that the green version of my bridge is released (which was a test render) instead of the rerendered red nightlighted pieces I sent to jeronij a while ago. >:(

bat

Yes, fantastic work on that!
