Help us to find the right Downloads software !!!

A warm welcome to the new members  .

After several tests and fails we finally set the forums so they are fully working at the moment.

It is a good time to have a look and test all the features so we can be sure everything is working fine.

The next step in site´s evolution is to add a decent downloading software, PHP / open source if possible ( if it has to be a paid one, it could be considered ). The admin staff has been intesively looking for such a software without success so far... so it would be a really good help if you can advice us about some good software to handle this task.
It does not has to necesarily be a STEX, but something that allows categories and subcategories is the minimu requirement....

Your help will be appreciated !!!

Thanks Andreas, in fact I did already had a look to this software, but the demo is so poor that I decided to not use it...after seeing it in action I will consider it as a possibility

hmm, well I am not any good at building web pages or creating codes, but I thought I could try to find something that might fit in that category.

Syn, is a text/html editor with syntax highlighting which supports a FTP function. Might be a bit hard to work with, but it's clean and if theres anybody that I
think can learn to use it, it's jeronij

PSPad - is text and code editor, so It might not go under your category but it has a huge list of stuff you can do with it, thought i should add it to the list.

Nvu is a Web authoring utility, which supports PHP. Didn't read all of its properties but it's supposed to be a free utility with the same functions as frontpage and dreamweaver.

NP Jeronij, as stated though I don't know how good these programs are. I just wanted to help and find software that might help out
Not everybody can use these programs, but EVERYBODY can help searching for them (<-- hint to the community)

You know the game crashes a lot.
One of the big problems is the prescence of doubl files.
this double killer deletes those double files after which the game operates much more stable.
