@ mrtnrln (and riiga ) ; the Swedish Signage MMP is available .



I’ve used all riiga’s models , so this is a 20 stages MMP ( 20th being a ghost piece ) , stages order as following :




Zip file attached at the end of this post ( you can't see it with a guest status ) Of course , you need the dependencies linked by Maarten on the previous page .

Having still nothing to study from gn_leugim , this MMP has been made with Orange_o_’s method ( a ghost piece at the end of the sequence ) . I don’t know how to proceed from that point :  it could be considered as a Beta version , but I’m rather sceptical about  an endless cycle MMP  modding … In that case , it will be the definitive version and could be uploaded on the STEX as a part of a VIP European Various Countries MMPs Signage , with the English and German signage MMPs I’m going to build as requested by DanniBee and Maarten .

That said , I’ll still ready to study any other request . ;D

I need to make a full set of Swedish signs some day though, seeing as the props aren't as high quality as I would like, but I can only blame myself for that. :P

mrtnrln UK MMPs are ready for testing … I need your collaboration for that , because I’m working with a virgin Plugin Folder to go faster , and , to tell you the truth , I’m not a specialist of RHWs ….  $%Grinno$% . Report here any encountered problem ...

Sounds more than interesting , in fact it would be revolutionary … I’ve never seen such endless MMP so far ( or they should be all Modded that way !  ::) … ) . The only thing I’ve tested was to add a Cluster Radius property to the last examplar ( normally they haven’t any ) of the sequence  , linking it to the first examplar and the result is indeed an endless MMP , but then the first examplar of the sequence only is working .


I have tested many things since and nothing works so I confirm that I'll stick with Orange_o_'s method ...

For the time being, it only works with one item, and not a full chain, but is still a good matter to try on some more deeper trials :p

I'm trying out some of the MMPs and I'm experiencing one major problem: it's hard to let the signs point in the right direction, it just happens at random. Any tips for this?

Start a new sequence after the ghost piece ... the kSC4FloraParametersProperty is modded to allow several  new sequences as close to the same place than possible ...  ;)

As suggested by Maarten , pitti’s German RHWs Signage MMPs are ready for testing , Zip file attached at the end of this post , dependency at Simtopolis : http://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/25830-german-autobahn-signs-for-rhw-4-x/

More than ever , these 4 MMPs are touchy to use , as most of these models are offset … I’ve done my best to be logical with these 4 sequences , making their use as easy than possible . ::)

Before to go further with these MMPs , and before to see arise there any controversy , I feel that’s necessary to give some precisions .

As I’m discovering pitti’s ( and some others) work on the STEX , I’m discovering the complexity of SC4 roadgeeks ( that’s how they call themselves  :P ) life … After a lot of patience to build their R.highways networks with the tab. key , they have to scroll through tens and tens of signs LOTs available in their menus … These MMPs have to considered as complementary but , in any case , they will not replace LOTs . You’ll certainly spend as much time with them , clicking to get the desired sign with the proper orientation as you would have , scrolling to find the corresponding LOT … right . Not to speak that the pros and cons will be mainly of question of personal preference ( after have LotEdited hundreds of LOTs for my own use , in my opinion MMPs are a godsend ) , they will allow you to plop signs on already occupied places . I’ve also discovered , with Citymax’s directional signs , that night lighting is lost with MMPs … good to know , as I haven’t time to check myself among all this stuff , what has night lighting or not … ::)

MMPs modding is quite simple and rather quick to do … but so boring when it come to mod so , hundreds of models . So consider that I’m working for those who intend to use them knowing the pros and cons , but I will not waste my time to explain , justify , convince , or simply repeat endlessly what I’ve already wrote , and so I will request you to read that whole thread before to post and to post  suggestions , advices or intrinsic MMPs problems ( it has some bugs or not , as simple as that ) only . From that point , I’ll release all requests ... ;)

You can also contribute to that works , providing me translations for   LTEXT files in their respective language … write them directly there and I will use Copy/Paste . Thanks ! :thumbsup:

I can happily report that the British set work fine. I have been able to get every sign to sit in the right direction (with a lot of mouse clicks :P) and they can look really great overhanging onto a sidewalk. Thank you very much ViP team and have a great Christmas :D
