Wow . . . 13 years.  I still remember when 3RR was a newborn, only 16 quads in size.  That makes me feel . . . old. :D

Hearing your Windows 10 story reminds me a bit of my first desktop from my early teenage years, when I upgraded it to Windows ME (making myself feel REALLY old now).  Weirdly enough, I actually kind of liked Windows ME, but it actually tried to install drivers for a little bit of dust that settled in one of the PCI slots (!).  (It called the dust an "Early PCI Non-VGA Device".)

Wishing you the best with your whole computer situation.  My advice on the shopping side is to check Costco's sales.  Managed to pick up a system with an octo-core AMD Ryzen 7 and 16GB RAM for around $650 back in September.

Yes, David. My congratulations to You and 3RR.
I've been sitting on WinXP stubbornly until today.
On another HP laptop I have already changed Win8 - Win7 - Win8 - Win7 twice.
Win8 works on themselves, I don't want hear about Win 10. These systems (Win8 and Win10) are out of control and doing something for myself, and I gotta stand in line...
Good luck and all the best!
Congratulations YOU again! &apls &apls &apls

P.S. 3RR is a brand name known to all educated people on all continents as Coca Cola. Keep it up!!!

Somewhere I read that 26% percent of worlds population is under 15 years old. Hard to imagine, that this CJ existed before roundabout a billion of the people living on this planet today wasn't even born.
