My new MD. Check it out if you wish.

Adrian, I miss you man.

A great set of pics showing the making of your underwater tunnel, Dustin.  Marathon has become one of those "sacred text" MDs that anyone who really wants to get the most out of playing the game needs to read before trying to do anything more than starting the game up.  RL may have slowed down your output, my friend, but it hasn't put the smallest nick in the quality.

Nice sunny and shiny picture there, Dustin ! It's funny, the colors of the cars are very flashy with this effect.

UPDATE LI
Brothers Under the Bridge (and Tunnel)
Part II: Where the Beginning Leads to the End...

15 March 2010

We shall pick up where Update L left off (last month!)...

We see the small island with what would be the northern end of the tunnel on the right hand side of the photo. Where does that lead?

Here! To another artificial island that...

...carries the highway to...

...where another artificial island is prepared for...

...a bridge! Now, on our second artificial island, we place an...

...interchange. But we'll get to that in a bit. First we build...

...another bridge that leads to the mainland. This brings us back to the interchange, and...

...where it leads! Well, it leads to another tunnel, so...

...we prepare the island for a slope down...

...to the tunnel entrance. For the tunnel, we...

...follow the method for making an underwater tunnel, and...

Voila! We have our underwater tunnel! Now all that is left to do is clean up the islands. Here...

...and...

...here...and...

...there! Finally, an overview:

Well, where do these bridges and tunnels lead? Those questions yet remain unanswered, but don't worry...there will be answers!

More from Marathon to come!

Great to see things on the move here!  Nice looking batch of highway work!  Can't wait to see what's going to be here.  Also I'm looking forward to seeing where that massive railway system is going to show up on the mainland!

i_love_lamp: Thanks!

Battlecat: Thank you so much, my friend!

Well, with so much "off-island" development going on around Marathon lately, I guess a region shot is in order, eh?

I've got two days off coming up, so with any luck there will be some more development somewhere in Marathon!

Stay tuned!

Hey Dustin,

Nice regional shot.
Have you ever shown us anything from the island in the bottom right corner?  If so....hmmm....I must be loosing it.
I hope all is well with you.

Edit...I went back and looked at those updates that Arthur pointed out and now I remember.  Hmmmm must be getting old....or something. HA!

Robin

Great regional overview!  Looks like it's going to be an interesting region, I'm looking forward to seeing what's up in that corner.

art128

Robin -> Yes he has, all the updates where we can see suburbs and big forest were taken in that island. (Reply 2420, 2429, 2404, 2415  and much more for example)..  ;)

Anyway, that's a fantastic region view so far my friend, I love the look of it. Nice mix between Marathon central island the big amount of small islands. I really love how the island at the bottom right corner is looking from far ! (PS - You should open the central top tile of the downtown island, the water texture is a little bit different...  ;D )

Take care,
-Arthur.
