@bat: Thanks, I'm glad you like it.

@Madeira: Those compliments should go to
praiodan for the palace and to frogface for the cathedral.

@Joan: I created all those lots in the LE yes.
Thanks for your kind words.

@Strechnitz: I'm glad you like the palace as well as the interior.
Everything is choosen by our godlike Holiness Karen Walker.
To answer your queston about the Private Detective:
Her Holiness has (of course)
the whole power over police and the secret service.
The private detective works just in the palace and nowhere else,
and the secret service works internationally.
The detective was hired after an "incident"
In 2004 there Karen Walker got up very early (around 11am).
When she walked down to the breakfast hall,
she noticed that there were only 200 Croissants instead of 201.
Normally her Holiness eats first and then everyone else,
who works in the palace can eat from the huge buffet.
But this time someone ate an Croissant before she stood up.
A private detective was hired to solve this case.
In the end he found out, that a maid took a croissant.
since she was new and thought noone would ever notice.
The people of Walker's Island were shocked
that someone could be so impudent.
She was fired and sentenced to 5years in prison, but her
good-natured generous holiness pardoned her.

@praiodan: Her divinity spends most of the year in the palace :)
I'm glad you like it. And thanks for creating the palace!

@pat: Nice to know, that you njoy every piece of WI.

@thundercrack: Everyone should know how our divine Mrs. Walker lives.
I'm glad you like it. Thanks for dropping by.

@iamgoingtoeatyou: We will see what we can do for you!
There are several houses free, the Walker Real Estate Group holds most of them.
Thanks for the compliments.

@kimcar: Thanks to you as well!

@all: The problem of big cities is, that they are (surprise) big.
I haven't finished Frederikshaven
so we will visit La Rochelle Island in the next Update.
You can see the Island on the picture, located south of Frederikshaven,
and you see how much work there is still to do.

Nice overview showing how Walker's Island has grown from a single hotel surrounded by trees to a well-developed community inhabited by the rich and famous! Great work.

Until next time...

LaRochelle Island

The topic of today's update is LaRochelle Island,
wich is located just a 20minutes ferry ride south of Frederikshaven.
Due to this prime location it is well known
retreat area for the 200.000 inhabitants of Frederikshaven.

The Island itself is a classified as a PCL (Protected Cultural Landscape) since 1987.
This includes, that the Island's appearance needs to stay the way it is,
that's why you still find plantations and wide jungles on LaRochelle.

View on the middle part of LaRochelle. You can see the three beaches.
The left one in the foreground is Mariah's Bay.
The right one in the foreground is the most visited Beach,
Dastak Beach.
The one in the background is called Northern Beach, it is
not allowed to visit this beach, due to the fact, that it is
protected especially.

View on the Northern Beach and two plantations.

The Coconut Plantation was owned by the St.Croix Family.
In 1987 it was given to the PCL Foundation,
wich makes sure the cultural area stays the same.

It's the peaceful nature, wich makes people come to LaRochelle

Most of the people don't know, that rice is cultivated on LaRochelle.
The fileds ar located on terraces, wich have been laid out on the rocks.
The rice is sent to the best restaurants of Walker's Island and to the Walker's Palace.

The biggest village on the Island is called Dastak Beach.
There is one mayor hotel, the Dastak Hilton and some small but
expensive vacation homes.

Houses like those are extremly small, but they cost a fortune, due to their location.
With a boat you can reach the skyline of Frederikshaven within 20minutes,
and still you are in absolute nature.

Mariah's Bay is only accessable by boat.

The last big real estate project, that has been realised is the Plantation Village.
A dozen mansions was built into a former mango tree plantation.
The project started in 1986, one year before every other project was stopped
in favor of the PCL programm.

@all: I hope you like LaRochelle Island. There is still a lot to do in Frederikshaven.
There is an sneak preview of the Capital included in this update, but it is hidden :P
I don't think it is too difficult to find it though.
PS: I hope you all like the new 1st post. I left all the DA stuff out,
since the Antilles are closed for good. :)

urban, IMHO opinion this is where you are at your best, the tropical coastlines and plantations, with the great use of vegetation

I always look forward to seeing these areas.

Brilliant.

Rats! Northern Beach is where I planned to spend my next holiday! Oh well...*sighs mournfully*
Urban, you just get better and better at creating paradise. The Island is gorgeous, and I'm pleased to hear the government intends to keep it that way. &apls
