Royal Gardens is looking very beautiful! Great work, urban!

Jmouse

"Royal Gardens" is an appropriate name for your newest lush paradise! And I, too, admire your clever use of waterways. I don't recall ever seeing the streams used in that way and I'm definitely looking forward to more.
Have a pleasant holiday.

Until next time...
Joan

I've never been to Bermuda, but Walker's Island looks like what I picture Bermuda to look like. I love the brick sidewalks and your water mod is absolutely beautiful. Keep up the fantastic work, my friend!

Russell

Royal Gardens and Silver Hill are some of the best creations I've seen so far in an MD. They both posess such beauty and realism that I for once make the effort to write a comment.

Well done and... bravo.  &apls

sebes

I cannot believe my eyes....  :o  I loved Durewan Antilles and hate to see it stopped as it trully was a little paradise on earth. But you seem to even surpass yourself with Walker's Island. Rumour goes that a Dutch airline is planning double-daily 747 service to the island, and I plan to be on their first flight  ***packing right now***  CYA there

First, all congrats for being one of the elected ones Of Special Interest this Month. It's simply well deserved as your MD is unique (read amazing!) in its basic principle and even more in its execution. I'm more than just impressed by the time and effort you put into this, may it be the special Lots you create or laying it out in game.

Hello Urban,

Congratulations with the `promotion´ to special interest of the month. very well deserved indeed!! &apls

Oh the updates I´ve missed during my holiday are simply spectacular! How happy his Holy Imperial Highness the Emperor of Stropon would be to be able to buy an oceanside mansion on Walker Island. or building one. what would the possibilities or prices be like  ()what()  money is no objection of course. if needs be a new tax for stroponian citizens will be created before you can say...what... ::)

As a long time fan of her Illustriousness Karen Walker, The Emperor of Stropon would like to invite her for a cocktail party over at the Kaiserburgen residence as soon as it is convenient. ;)

Strechnitz.

BTW, are the Hohenzollerns back in power ()what() how nice. ;D

Dear holiness, Godlike President of Walker Island, for life, charming sea of wisdom and grace.

His Holy Imperial Majesty is thrilled by your swift response. He has made arrangements to ensure that upon your arrival on Stroponian soil, you will have a private bartender trained in making every possible coctail at your disposal 24/7. So that there is no threat of being thirsty upon your arrival at Kayserbürgen. Furthermore, his Holy Imperial Majesty sends his warmest wishes, and hopes that your stay in Palm Beach will be satisfactory.

Port and Cape Elizabeth
@Shadow Assassin: Thanks for visiting and to answer your question:
Mrs. Walker is not interested in participating in such
blue-collar communities %wrd,
but she is the president of the Martini Society.
She always says: Don't waste space with those stupid olives!

@kwakelaar: Thanks a lot, I'm glad you like it.

Our beloved Holiness sends her best wishes to everyone.
Here you can see here working hard,...well working.

Today's Update is going to be dedicated to Port Elizabeth.
The city is located on the nothern-west peninsula of Walker's Island.
Famous for its famous and wealthy guests,
it is often called the Palm Beach of Walker's Island,
even through most of the upper class guests stay in
the sorrounding countryside of the city, especially in the exclusive socalled Westside.

Here you can see Port Elizabeth, with its famous beaches.

The Northern Beach is more crowded by package tourists.
It is one of the longest beaches on the whole Island.
In the 70's some large concrete tourist hotels have been built
contrary to bad expectations of the city's inhabitants.

View on the North Ocean Drive Higway, that connects the whole north coast.

Further east you can find the Karen Walker Elizabeth-Airport
(not to be confused with the Karen Walker International Airport).
The Airport was planned in the 60's, but due to difficult terrain it took
12 years until they started. There was just not enough space for a runway.
They solved the problem by building the runway into the water.
The airport is famous for its short landing strip
— only 2,170 metres/7,132 ft, which is barely enough for heavy jets.
Because of this the goverment built a bigger Airport in the mountains in 1987.
From then on, you had to switch to a connection flight.
After more and more tourists came to the Island the Airport reopend to big jets again.

On contrary to the Northern part of Port Elizabeth, the southern part is more exclusive.
The hotels are better, more espensive and have a nice view towards south.
The small Juliana Bay is the hot spot for everyone.
This started in 1887, when the first hotel opened.

The Grand Hotel Princess Elizabeth is the oldest remaining hotel of Walker's Island.
It was often said, the hotel is going to be destructed,
to make space for a new glass palace, but it is owned by our godlike Karen Walker,
who will never sell it.

The Cruise Port

Cape Elizabeth

As I already mentioned, the wealthiest guests prefer,
staying in the lovley countryside in the west of Port Elizabeth.
One of those exclusive villages is Cape Elizabeth, on the Island's west coast.
On demand Karen Walker made sure, some exclusive properties are offred here for you all :P

Zsa Zsa Lodge
This lodge is located at the Zsa Zsa Beach.
Its modest looking shall not deflect from the luxury interior.
Finest woods from Walker's Island have been used
and the view is just spectaular!
Price: 1,7Mio US-$

The Fredericson Estate
The next house is a little bit more representative,
a 8000m2 compound with a 450m2 mansion.
It was built by Joseph Fredericson, the architect
who designed the palace of our beloved Karen Walker as well.

Sunset Mansion
It was built on one of the most amazin piece of land,
the whole Island offers. You have an unbelievable view on
Cape Elizabeth, the beach and the ocean.
But the most intresting thing is, that you can look towards west,
where the sun sinks in the ocean. There are only a couple of spots
on the whole Island, where you can see the sunset like that.
Price: 13,6Mio US-$

Here you can see the house again. The other building with the red roof
is the one of the 25 Summerhouses of Karen Walker, our godlike President, the sea of Wisdom.

The last house for today is the Andy Warhol Estate,
the American artist lived here in the winters from 1979 to 1986.

It is also located on a cape, from where you can enjoy the wonderful sunsets.
The house an the garden are  both landmarked.
Price:12,7 Mio US-$

Zsa Zsa Beach is just down the stairways or you use the escalator, wich is built into the hill :P

What a gorgeous update Urban! Absolutely stunning photos. I like the way you have used the island's contours to full advantage. Who wouldn't want one of those luxurious estates perched on a scenic outcropping in Port Elizabeth?!
And are you going to tell us how you got that airport out in the water?  ()what()

Until next time...
