Next car type, this in the colors of SOO lines:

Bringing over a question/request:

Is there anybody that can help me with the Louisville & Nashville nametag:

Meaning the lettering over the windows.
Either help me identify a font that get close to the one used or the lettering as a graphic.

I might end up doing Wabash instead:

Girafe

The color variation is nice.

Any chance to have more polys for the chariot, moreover it could be used for all the models.

;)

Thank you Antoine.

Chariot ? Guess you mean the open platform.

Yes, I could add extra polys, but for what ?

Same car in different colors:

I like the effect on the painting in this car. The others looked too plain and perfect.  &apls Perhaps the windows are too blue? I don't know really, let's see the final result.  :)

About the font: it looks like some sort of "redondilla espaƱola", but I haven't found something similar on the internet. (free, I mean)  &mmm

Girafe

I mean the wheels and all the mess under the plateform.

I am quite happy with the increase of polys and details to the models and for me it s real bonus. However I think the part under the plateform is too flat (low poly)

It could be quite long to model and texture everything, but adding few details would increase the quality of the work even more.

However this mess under the plateform is always the same for the majority of train models. Maybe there is a way to reuse modeling and mapping of this part for future projects.

I guess we are talk past each other:

Talking about two different things.

I don't plan to add more polys, but I do plan to update the textures for the wheel boogie later on.
Have found some pictures of some older ones:

A third car on the way, this time in the colors of Louisville & Nashville:

Still need to add the textures for the stairs and adjusting the width of the platforms.

EDIT: Now with stairs.

Perfect!  Sorry, I was going to try to help with the font but I've been away from my computer the past few days.  Love the variations so far  &apls

Its not to late to help. Not satisfied with the typeface I used.

Another model, another color scheme:

CNW: Chicago & North Western, or just Northwestern.

I've been searchig again, but without any results. The N makes me think about the "redondilla", but the rest are more compatible with an old english font. I've searched the logo, too, but...  &mmm

Edit: I've found these, I think they're better, but they're not exactly the same...  :(

great progress, excellent liveries!

The Milwaukee texturing looks great!  Would you consider rendering these as props in addition to automata?  They would look great in railroad sidings and such.

Sorry, but I will keep teasing you, until I am throught doing one of each of the cars.
At the time when I gets the textures done for the color schemes, would like to test them out and take pictures of them ?

The Frisco became a Jersey Central / Central of New Jersey:

That is the plan.

Might have to do a few extra emd-unit mods afterwards.

Looking great! I'm also a big fan of the Milwaukee one  &apls
