@ nbvc: Thanks a lot!
@ WC_EEND: Thanks for looking! I think you mean these: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2315

Today's update is Part One of the West Vorland to Hapton Central Roadtrip.

The Highway 6 cuts through an embankment.

It then curves through the rugged landscape of Sorton Mountain Range.

It then follows a ridge.

Then, the highway turns into a RHW-4.

Then, it curves around a mountain.

It then ends and turns back to a single carriage road.

There is a junction between the Highway 6 and a smaller offspring that takes you south.

Then, there is another junction. This time it's with another road that takes you up north.

Then, the road travells alongside the main railway

That's it for part one...
Part Two coming soon!

yup, that's the one, thanks a lot for that one

I really like the RHW in the snow like this, and it looks even more brilliant with the rail line next to it

However I must admit I was thinking it makes no sense, until I realized that it is left hand drive.  $%Grinno$%

Yeah, I had that too actually ;D

@ RickD: Thanks! Yeah, I've had to switch to LHD for a while as I work on a new LHD region.

These are some older pictures from Part Two of the roadtrip from West Vorland to Hapton Central.

The highway follows the rail line for a while.

Then, the railway enters a tunnel.

Further along, there is more room for the highway and it turns into a RHW-4.

Then there is a junction to the city of Sorton. We'll turn off here to look around.

The station.

We then turn left at the main crossroads.

The commercial district. It's nowhere near finished...

An overview.

We then rejoin the highway and continue Eastbound.

The next junction along is to the suburbs of the city.

There is a windfarm near the suburbs.

The highway then bypasses the suburbs.

Thanks for looking!

Today's update... part THREE of the roadtrip!

The highway continues in a straight line.

A smaller road joins the Highway 6. This is seen crossing the railway.

The highway spits at the foot of a large mountain.

It then follows a railway viaduct.

The railway emerges from a tunnel and is then carried on another viaduct.

The highway then continues in a large cutting.

And to finish off.. a region view of Vorland!

Thanks for looking,
Sam =)

Nice roadways you've got. The ground rail to viaduct transition is a bit too steep, though ;)

Today's update is the SimWorld Christmas Special!

Well.. it's that time of year again. Christmas.
Things have been getting rather chilly recently. Here are some main headlines from across SimWorld.

New New York News
Snow has been causing havoc in New New York as freak storms hit by surprise.

Adeland National News
All settlements in the country have been affected by freezing temperatures as they fall into the -20ºC region.

The Karkland Times
Snow postpones major football clash between Karkcity and Eylton United as 12 Inches Fall.

Lorshire Leader
Roads across the country are clogged with travellers as the Christmas Holiday period arrives.

Vorland National Newspaper
Major travel disruption caused by non-stop blizzards across the region.

So.. the very short and pictureless Christmas update has come to an end.

Or has it..?

This was a picture taken from a news chopper reporting on the travel disruption in Vorland.. Is that really Santa and the reindeer?

Always Believe...

That's it from this update.. sorry it's short! This is all I had time for..

I like your way of building but maybe you could use other pedmalls in your previous update. Or maybe you can Lot them a bit maybe.

Very nice, very interesting.  My only thought is that you might have wanted to think about using a slope mod to lessen the "bumps" in your roads and highways.

@ Tomas Neto: Thank you!
@ RickD: Thanks a lot! I am yet to build the surrounding buildings, so I'll use some space on parking.
@ Terring7: Thanks! :)
@ Lora/ldvger: Thank you! My current slope mod doesn't seem to be working, so I'll look into getting another one.

It's been a while.. and the next update is almost ready...!

Until then.. here's what I've been working on:

An entirely non-Maxis city. There is lots of building repetition, so if anyone has links to any good low density commercial, I would appreciate it very much.

And that's all from this half-update..! The next should be ready soon...
