depends how much time you want to spend on said map.

that's exactly my point. It's in the taking of time that great maps (usable smooth rivers and coastlines), are produced.

blade2k5

That may be true for some mappers and the technique they used, but there are those of us who have been doing this for so long and have so much experience in map making that it doesn't take a tremendous amount of time to do so.  That was my point. :)

So it's not how much time you "want to spend" on it, but how much time you need to spend on it. Your point was that, in time, dobdriver will be able to achieve the same results he is currently achieving, but in a shorter period? Well hopefully that is true (and thanks for pointing it out).
Just as long as he achieves those same results.

While I was out, some lively discussion, Excellent.

Blade as you should know the devil is in the details.

Things, I have always tried to make quality and accuracy a hallmark of my maps.

Personally I think if it ever came down to a couple of clicks for these types of maps it would be called landscape designer.

You betchya. Dobapple and his map-o-matic have worked very hard to create these maps, and you can also tell it's him with his friendly posts. Thanks a lot 'dobapple ;)

Great maps you've got here, I had to install more RAM and memory on my pc to get the game running. ;) I sure hope it has the power to load your wonderful maps without a few power grids going out. D:

dobdriver

G'day Devotees,

Yes Marsh, As Aldini says. It is I, one and the same.

Yeah Aldini, for some of these maps terraformer and mapper require a fair bit of ram to import them.

Today, the map-o-matic has cranked out a couple of beauties.

The Lake Charles map is going to be perfect for a future city I'm going to build.  ;D

,marsh

Aldini10

Beautiful maps your map-o-matic has cranked out, good to know she won't break down anytime soon! Lake Charles looks so detailed, it confuses my eyes and now I am colorblind for the moment. :)

Yes, I hope for more great maps from you in the near future.

namspopof

Very good work.  &apls

Aldini, the little old map-o-matic is purring like a silk purse since her last big whippin'. Ooooh she's lovely. Thanks little mate.

Namspopof, Thankyou and I hope you'd like to try one or two of them.

Hey HotChocolate, you've sprung me the drunken apple that drives a big dob(soon to be bigger  ;)) Thanks.

G'Day Devotees,

With the request from Maestro for some maps I have been spending a little time in British Columbia and some real beauties have popped from the map-o-matic.

Feast your eyes on these me little lovelies.

Nimpkish Lake is 45.056km x 53.248km

Nimpkish Lake is on the Northern side of Vancouver Island

North of the Strait of Juan De Fuca

Victoria is 53.248km x 49.152km

Perhaps the King of Spain sent him there.

A beautiful name if ever there was.

Queen Charlotte Sound is 49.152km x 53.248km

Interestingly I grew up on the Sound that bears her husband's name King George.

The largest city of British Columbia

Vancouver is 57.344 x 40.96km

Hell, it's been done to death but there is no moratorium.

See these on the the LEX nearest you.

That's it, show's done and dusted.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Maestro9319

I'm known as X9319 on the LEX.

I love it when I see a region and can say "Hey, I've been there!" I can probably identify where every Vancouver suburb is, even though I live far away from the city. Very nice selection as always!
I'll have to give myself a prrrrrrrromotion!

G'Day Devotees,

Thanks Marsh, unfortunately I made a booboo in the name as it is called Nimpkish Lake. (Fixed now, but didn't have me goggles on when I was looking at the topo.) What a great pic! I like how you've given the countryside the post apocalyptic look. And the size, brilliant I can zoom it up and see stuff, Thanks very much.

G'Day Maestro, Thanks mate. I also enjoy that feeling and identifying with places I've been and lived etc. Although not all the maps now fall into that category for me. Thanks a lot.

Just a small show for today.

It's brother (or sister) is finally here.

Beaumont is 65.536km x 81.92km

Beaumont is as lakey and flat as Lake Charles

Thanks for looking and have a great day.
