Now that's what I'm talkin about!
How many LOTs are there?  Your trees and bushes are all facing the same way, don't forget to alternate them.  And if there are several LOTs, maybe add different trees.  Otherwise, it looks a million times better.

bat: Thank you, my friend!

Rick (RickD): Thanks so much!

Robin (rooker1): Hi, Robin! I'm glad you like it! I'm much more happy with the area now, myself. It is one lot (23x1), so I have to go back through and randomize the trees, bushes, etc., to give it less of a uniform feel. Thanks for another great tip, there, too, my friend! Keep'em comin'!

A quick "sunset" snippet of another area under construction...

Confound those vehicles going the wrong way! I can't seem to get them going in the correct direction when I plop them in the LE. Oh, well. More attention to detail, I assume. It looks like I got the DeLorean right, though!

I hope to have a more concrete (Get it? Under construction, concrete? Eck! I know...) update in the works soon. I just need to get a few more ducks in a row.

More from Marathon to come!

Terring7

Ahh, DeLorean. One of the most beautiful cars ever made :) . I wish that somebody will make an automata of this beauty.

The concept looks interesting. Can't wait for it :)

You are very good at making those one image updates, leaving me wanting more of the same every time. The last picture from "Marathon Mall" is another example of that.

daryl7478

Good job there on the "Marathon Mall" Dustin! My first post here this year. I hope it doesn't end up as an exact copy of the National Mall in DC.

Battlecat

Gorgeous shot!  That mall area looks great. I like the canal from earlier as well.

rooker1

 Very nice shot.  &apls
If I were you I wouldn't add vehicles to that LOT in LE, just transit enable it and the automa will travel over it.  And if that isn't enough find a traffic generator and add it to your LOT.  ;)

Terring7: Wow! That's an interesting concept car! Thanks for posting that, and for stopping by!

i_love_lamp: Hmmm...1955, maybe!?

bat: Thanks!

Arthur (art128): Ha! That it does, my friend!

Gjermund (kwakelaar): Hi, my friend! Thank you so much for your wonderful comments and support! Hope to see you again soon!

Daryl (daryl4748): Hello! I hope that it won't turn out that way, though, there's a bit of inspiration from Washington in there! Thanks for stopping by!

Battlecat: Thank you, my friend!

Robin (rooker1): As always, another great idea from you, my friend! I will definitely go back in and make those changes with the TE'ing! Thanks again for the tips...for over two years now!

Jordan (canyonjumper): Thanks!

Another project I've got in the works (I can't seem to keep my mind on one!)...

I'd also like to extend my biggest and best congratulations to Battlecat and Yan077 for being inducted into the SC4D MD Hall of Fame! Can't wait to have you guys join us here, it couldn't have happened to two better people!

More from Marathon on the way!

peter007

Nice update
Keep it on , I sure like your work

rooker1

This look like an interesting Lot.  Is that a bus station on the back side?
Some of these larger buildings you should get them on the LEX, hopefully you are modding with PIM-X and they are above stage 8. ;)  They would be very worth while.

Robin

Looks nice from what we can see...

Looking forward to more from that lot... ;)

Peter (peter007): Thanks!

Robin (rooker1): Hi, Robin! That is a bus station in the back...good eye! One of these days I'll get a lot or two LEX-ready! Thanks for stopping by!

bat: Thank you so much!

UPDATE LIV
A Not-So-Common, Uncommonly Commons
18 February 2011

It's our first official update here in Marathon for 2011! And what are we looking at today? This...

And with what shall this be filled, you ask? Well, these, of course...

We've got four lots that are going to make up the Towamensing Commons! So let's go back...

...and put the lots in place!

1...

...and 2...

...now three....

....and 4! Here we are with the foliage in bloom...

And now, so exploratory photos for your viewing pleasure...

I hope it didn't turn out too much like the National Mall in Washington, D.C. (despite using both the Washington Monument and Jefferson Memorial)!

Hope you enjoyed it!

More to come!

travismking

thats absolutely beautiful mate, nice lotting :)

Battlecat

Superb lotting there!  With your choice of buildings it is reminiscent of the Washington Mall but I think you've done an excellent job of creating something appropriate for Marathon.

bat

Wonderful lotting there! It is looking beautiful!

art128

Absolutely fantastic lotting work with the marathon mall my friend. Although, i'm not really fan of it I must say. I know you don't want it to looks like the National Mall in DC.. But I think, in my opinion, that your Marathon Mall is too stuck between the buildings. I think If you put two or four open grass/park tiles between the side buildings and the mall itself it would look better IMO. But anyway, it is already wonderful, and the work you've put in it is also colossal.

Take care,
-Arthur.
