All theses "skins" are superbly reproduced and this last image is a real gift for all who make their own "lots": finally trucks with the back doors open and with unconventional angles.

« Bank robbery » … this is with that crime property that SC4’s creators restrained motorcycles ! ( Speak about a good reputation for bikers …  $%Grinno$% ) That’s over : I’ve freed them for good as you can see on the picture above : 7 motorcycles in the same picture … then , as they became abundant , I’ve discovered that the 5 original examplars ( a « classical » one with 4 different colors + one Chopper ) have two versions , one with a driver only and one with the driver and a passenger … but that’s not all ; for each of these two versions , drivers and pasengers have at least 4 various liveries ( clothes ) so finally we have 5x2x4 = 40 variations ! Plus , I’ve already added 4 new colors for Maxis’ motorcycles ( black , silver , green , yellow ) . I’ve also reworked the Mayor’s Bike « Ghost Rider » by  Simfanatik  ; originally MODed as a mayor’s vehicle , now a regular vehicle with 8 new colors , then  I did the same for Simfantik’s Police Bike with 3 « civil » liveries …

Yeah , to see all these motorcycles in game is a true happyness ! Also noticeable on that picture  , the new scale , definitively adopted : 130% , so the BATers’ scale ( previously I was around 125% ) . Everything looks coherent now , but we’ll have to say « Bye » to all existing parking textures ...  :bye:

Currently working on a Mercedes sprinters ( original model by airman 15 ) set , that’s an occasion to show how I’m working to create these new automata :

And after something like 4 hours of work with GoFsh and Photoshop CS2 ( 8 successive testing versions have been necessary , mainly due to the complexity of the UV Mapping ) , I finally created this FSH :

For the time being , I’ve already created 41 new Mercedes Sprinter’s liveries and 38 new liveries for the E250 vans by Simfanatik , not to speak that I’ve improved the 26 liveries  made by pclark06 , with more details , realistic glasses and desaturated colors … here just an example :

Well , I’ve to confess that I’m now  totally addicted to that kind of work about automata and I don’t think that I’ll play the game during  the coming months . That’s an extensive and  long running  project for our automata , to release a complete set revamped , resized , reModed … I’ll need most probably the 3 next months , if I’m able to devote 8 hours/day , 5 days/week … a true job ! So , be patient ...  ;)

But it is time to add … 100  new trucks to the 130 already shown ;

This is absolutely incredible and it'll transform in-game automata and the general look of our cities.

Can I ask a question..will these be available as props also? I'm particularly excited by the likes of street sweepers and civic utility vehicles as I'd like to create various depots across the city and these are a missing gap in terms of vehicles props.

Hi ,

Glad to see such enthusiasm  :thumbsup:fantozzi , thanks for that hilarious comment and yes this isn’t a revamped and resized automata project only but also an huge reMODing work ( There’s no reason to do not see trucks , a police car , a fire unit , an ambulance , a news van and so on , or a $$$ car , anywhere at any time in the city ) … Real Traffic MOD is a good name . Have also reworked the Automata Tuning Examplar to get more traffic , more persistent automata … and more pedestrians . These point aren’t obvious to spot with pictures . Like it is currently , traffic jams appears quickly on streets notably , but that’s just visually ( the game engine has its own  criterions … )

I have started to rework Jim’s cars automata ; realistic glasses and european numberplates … because… well , « nothing is too beautiful for SC4 » is an enough good reason !

Jim’s car revamped being here parked between to Girafe’s car (Vol.4) props resized … not so bad , isn’t it ? ()stsfd()

That said , there’s still a colossal amount of work and if someone who knows how to extract props from automata , then to use SC4ModelTweaker for rotations and IliveReader to create props examplars , is willing to help me , he will be more than welcome ! ;D  I’ll give him  finished models , a range to follow for examplars and other instructions .

These new automata are amazing and beautifully textured. And yes, your car circle (I call mine a car "coven" as the only way you could get cars in or out is if the whole thing moves at once  ;)) is waaaaaaay better than the one I whipped up for the lot.  :thumbsup:

Sounds like a lot of repetitive work ? If so, there is a nifty tool called Macro Express 3; it allows you to record global macros. I use it to do repetitive tasks when modding bridges... it saves a ton of time. It does cost 44 usd however.
