A Long, Hot Summer



It's been a long, hot summer here in Monkey Island. The weather has been hot, the skies blue and everyone is enjoying the long, sunny days. Let's see what's up Monkey Island on this hot, lazy summer day.


School is out for the summer! Woo hoo!


If it's too hot to go outside and swing in the vines, why not stay home and play Sim City?


You can hang out down at the local Starbucks and have an iced coffee with banana. Next door at the Fay Wray Center, there's a theatrical presentation we can visit.


We can always go shopping down at Lemur Creek Mall...


But I am thinking we'd probably want to head over to the Magilla Resort and do cannonballs in the pool. So, who's with me?

School: More Fun Than A Barrel Full of People!




Summer's almost over and it's nearly time for all of the little monkeys to head back to school...


Time for just a few more splashes in the pond out back...


One last weekend to enjoy. Perhaps we'll head over to the Monkey island Star Trek Convention... it is being held at the Del Monte Ballroom at the Hampton Inn in Orangutangburg.


Soon, no more time for triple banana monkaccinos...


They will all be headed back to school...


As the last school bus pulls away and heads down the street... across the newly-quiet neighborhood... the quiet clinking of champagne flutes... as the parents rejoice.

I really like that school building!  The style of the photo at the end is great as well, the editing worked out particularly nicely!
