If you mean the light poles by the paths, they are a part of the LRM mod. I've relotted them onto a transparent park lot, though.

Through the lot editor? Would it be too much to ask you to upload them? xD

Sorry i cant opem the lot editor for some stupid reason :S

Finally, here is the file (and hopefully the right one!) The reason for the name, by the way, is that I originally made it for a socialist-styled city project. You'll need the props from MandelSoft's LRM German set as a dependency.

Thanks!

Just one more question: how do you do it? There is some kind of tutorial to use the lot editor, as for example, having a set of props, and do to them the same thing you've did to this particular prop?

Themistokles

Yes, in this case my usage of the lot editor was really basic. I just opened the LE (which takes ages until it responds) and then opened the Maxis 1x1 grass park lot. Then I plopped the lamp prop onto it, saved and closed LE.

When LE had closed, I opened iLive's reader, found the .sc4lot file which is directly in the Plugins folder and opened it. Then I went to the property named LotConfigPropertyLotObject and began with 0x00000002, double-clicked on it. In the window that popped up, I selected the last line and deleted it. Then I closed the pop-up window, saved the lot and exited the reader.

Hope this answered your question!

In a way... It does help...

But since i have all maxis stuff blocked, i was wondering if there is a way to just choose a blank lot in the lot editor?

Thx :D

Themistokles

I'm not an expert in these things, but if you have all maxis stuff blocked, I'd think that that only concerns growables, so it should not be a problem in these matters. There is no 'blank' lot in LE (but I guess, with skills exceeding mine, it would be possible to make such a thing in the reader), however you could choose to start with just about any ploppable lot, be it maxis or custom, with the possible draw-back of the new lot taking over all external properties like cost and such from the old one (again, something that could be changed in the reader).

One thing that bugs me about the Lot Editor is that you must always use an existing lot as a sort of template for making a new lot. All the information you should need is covered in a tutorial I uploaded on the STEX recently. Simply copying a lot without replacing the buildings exemplar can lead to problems, so I'd recommend you read up a bit if you are planning on making a few lots.

Otherwise, I can highly recommend using PIM-X instead of the Maxis tools. This application was made to replace the functions of both the Maxis PIM and LE. You can simply create new lots (based on pre-defined profiles), save lots without textures upon them and do many other useful things that the Maxis tools do not allow or make easy.

See, I have downloaded the PIMX, but I do not know how to add, for example, a lightpole (as a prop) into a lot. I have to look into it a little bit more i guess.

Well guys thanks, I will be posting results under my Mayor Diary. Lets hope I can lot fun stuff xD
