For two projects I have on the go I'm assuming the same area of knowledge must be learnt.

1: I want to turn the Aussie street props I've made (phone boxes, bins, post boxes etc.) into an Aussie & NZ street mod.

2: I want to a mod for the SimMedieval project that will eliminate street lights etc.

Can anyone help me on the way to achieving these goals, thanks.

I have a small mod Swamper made for me some years ago, it will remove all street lights and signs. I use this in combination with two mods from Pegasus site - PEG-MTP_NoRoadJunk and PEG-MTP_NoStreetJunk. This should do the trick.

Still looking for info on the Aussie street mod...

If you're referring to having those items placed along the road, you'll want to look into T21 exemplars.

I was, and thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

The tutorial I am following (Xyloxadoria's Way), uses the RHW as an example. But in the case of wanting to mod regular streets & roads what do I open? I had a random browse through simcity1.dat but there's so many files which are named unintelligibly (to mortals) ()what()

(oh & btw, where does this appear in game?)
