Degerfors Rural Region
« on: March 27, 2010, 10:26:29 AM »
Hi! This is my first MD and this is actually the first time I'm creating a rural region. I'm trying to make a realistic MD with small towns and farms. The region is flat except for the north part where you can find some hills. There's also a couple of rivers floating through the region.

Since I'm both a "rural noob" and a "MD noob", all help is appreciated.  :)

All I have now is a teaser, but more will follow very soon.

(Don't worry, future images will have better quality)

Take care!

Looks like a good start you have here. The picture quality looks fine to me, maybe a little bit larger would help, but the quality is fine. I also would suggest the Euro Road Textures.

And, those cows look like they may be in danger.

dedgren: They're safe, it's a private road ::)
riiga: I hope you will be satisfied with the first update!
metasmurf: Tack! I will include euro road textures in the next update.
canyonjumper: Thanks!!
ecoba: Thanks! Maybe I'm the only one who cares about the quality... ;D Euro road textures will be included in the next update.

UPDATE 1: Villingsberg and surroundings

^ The small town of Villingsberg. It's the seat of Villingsberg Municipality.

^ The local service station.

^ Just outside of Villingsberg. A typical scene in the region.

^ A small farm 1 km from Villingsberg.

^ Two boats by the river, an early summer morning.

Take care!

Fantastiskt fina bilder, du är flera gånger bättre än mig på lantiga bilder och fina miljöer.  :)

Great pictures! You're several times better than me when it comes to rural pictures. :)

Especially the last picture shows that you have quite some talent on creating beautiful rural scenes. And the church in the first picture is nice. Do you remember where you got it from?

Great picture, but you don't need to post an update every day you know. It's better to post an update when you have something you find worth sharing, no just because you feel the need to. Just a few words of advice...

Those pictures look fantastic. I was hoping to do some of that "constructive criticism" stuff, but I can't really see anything! The paths, maybe, could be a little neater but overall it's a wonderful start!
