j-dub, I owe you a reply here. The houses that appear to have no road connection actually do. On a single FAR (road) puzzle piece, you can build on 2 out of 3 of the tiles (based on the "paths") on either side of the road. Where the remaining tile won't support zoning on one side, it will on the other. It's easier to see with the grid turned on. I haven't built on the other side of that road yet, because of my utility poles. Few residential lots have room for the poles (props on the lots get in the way). Eventually, once I add schools and services, I will be able to zone 3x4 residential lots which will grow R§§§, and they generally have room for the poles. Anyway, you didn't inquire about that, but I thought I'd share. ;)

No worries. As a NAM associate I already knew the FARR pieces were only pathed 2 out of 3 tiles for growth way ahead of time. I wasn't even referring to that. But the part of the area which I was referring to is circled in yellow. Its the twin houses behind the red roof one. Its the being built in between other houses and having no drive way out I would not want to live in. But that's Maxis. In your case, the open alley ways, that is smart thinking to handling Maxis shacks. What you could do is add some plant some dirt, or gravel trails the flora plop type not lotted or piece type in between the alley ways by the poles. That would look nice.

Oh, duh! I totally didn't get what you were saying before, j-dub! The lots you're referring to are 100% genuine Maxis lots ... no modifications. Regarding the alleys you proposed, I have actually considered taking the rural farm connector TE lots (can't find the file to link it here) and making some alleys out of them, removing most or all of the props and fences, so I can plop my utility poles in the grassy areas! ;) (can't plop my poles where there are props).

WHOA!

That is one hell of a picture, capturing all the essence of... um... rurality
Which waterfalls are you using to match the ploppable water? And how do you get the small grey non-maxis plop rocks to be so close together? I have a mod that does it with the white maxis rocks, but I can't do that with the grey ones.

io_bg

Hey, Floydian, download the new Pond kit by Pegasus and you'll find the rocks and the waterfalls there.

As io_bg said, the most LOTs are from Pegasus. For the waterfalls I used two differend, the one from Pegasus Pond kit and this one: http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=16394

Way, way out in the Dismal Swamp Canal, a pushbarge greets a Snowbird.

Great pictures here recently. That mosaic shows some great effort and attention to detail nbvc. Shoreman, your pic looks great. The few buildings, the plantlife sweeping into the river, it looks about what I would expect. With the way those snowbirds are hugging the shore, I would suspect they'll be pulling weeds out of their prop/engine soon. Nice work.

NBVC, one of the best pictures I ever saw!  ()flower()
One comment though: the streets with sidewalks? Maybe you could get rid of these? They don't relly match.

Shoreman905: WOW!  &apls

All the others on this page: beautiful, I'd like to visit some of these locations on my next holidays. Would you please send me the exact addresses?  $%Grinno$%  &apls

@shoreman905: Woah, now this looks swampy ... All I miss there are some alligators  :D but I definately wouldn't enter the water there!
