Thank you everyone! It warms my heart to see that I will always have a "home" to return to here at SC4D.

So, let me kick off the new year (22 days late, I duly apologise :P) with that LGBT Memorial and other parks showcased earlier, that Pat so desperately wanted!

These files are now available on the LEX!

NHP ADC Parks -> Click!

Pat, Bixel's HKSAS Primary school has also been released since, and is available here: Click!

I hope you enjoy this one! And also, a happy belated MLK Day to our American friends!  ;D

I hope to showcase some of the photos of my extensive (two and a half month long) holiday soon too! And I guess I should also mention that I got my first real job this year! I'm working as a tutor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Pretoria, and I will be tutoring the first years in Political Science and International Political Relations. I'm über excited!

Have a good one!

Another excellent release here, that roundabout filler is especially useful.

And I know you'll have fun tutoring, since your drawn to Politics and International Relations like a North Magnet to a South Magnet

I've been away for soooo long and I come back to find this and the whole cam thing. I'm in complete awe to all sc4d people's work. It realy what brought me back to playing SC.

Falling off the wagon for 10 months is a hard blow. Now I have much sisyphean updating to do.  Dl's, cleanups, readme, readme, readme, more dl's, more cleaning, moving, organzing, check forums, more readme, more dl..... I feel like a bug stuck in a loop LOL (but it's all pleasure ;) )

So I come across this great CAM pack In reference to Oneil's CAM. Great job M4346!
But don't you think Flatbush, Dakota, Astoria building all should be r$$$ or the very least R$$. I favor realism in sc and I don't think any R$ can afford to live in this buildings unless they were crumbling down. (maybe they appear in the game with the abandon skin and I missed it).

I think im going to adjust them with the reader to R2/3 and I wanted to find out if it is safe to do so.

Thank you for all your work!  &apls

BarbyW

It is safe to do so but they will not have the correct balanced stats from the X-Tool so I wouldn't recommend it. These were made to fill a gap in the CAMelots as we needed more R$ from the upper stages.

Thanks barby :)

I have a list of at least 25 high rise R$ buildings (most are new york or communist styles) on 50-60 lots. like SFBT plattenbau, Low-Wealth Residential Mega Lots by T-rex, GrynderApartments, GatoaHi, CARCH InferiorArms, BLaM Fjellbekk, NDEX Communist Tenement and many more. I can compile a list for you if you need more R$ Cams

btw ONeil CAM Condos.zip isn't on the cam lists.

M4346

I'd like to hear your opinion on the following:

It needs to be lotted and I was thinking of putting SNM fences around it. Any thoughts as to lotting?

The stats are from the X-Tool, and the price is a bit high at $1 584 000 or something like that. :P

Thoughts?

LOL! No, it's not lotted yet. I was just showing the buildings' layout. :P It needs fences, roads, trees and all sorts of other stuff still! hehe

And thanks! :) It's good to be back, whatever that will hold remains to be seen.  ;D

poor joe didn't catch that bit about still working on it lol.. Marius its truly is great to see you back and lotting again!!! The stats I do agree are way to high at what you said a cool million to plop?  No no no no thats too steep  $%Grinno$%  SNM fences would look good here, I say so...  Also you do have a sweet new avatar at that too, BTW what is that creature anyways its funnie though!!!!

Looking really nice, very realistic texture and overall modeling. Definiatly better than the original one  $%Grinno$%
Altho 1.5 million is indeed rather steep, I would recommend keeping it at the values the X-Tool suggests.

I've visited a nuclear power plant once, and it is indeed very, very well protected against all sorts of dangers, so fences are a minimum.  ;)

Hello, Marius.

It is very nice to be able to chat with you again.  How have you been and how has school been?

Your nuclear power plant is simply stunning.  I am quite impressed with it and certainly would use it.  I look forward to reviewing it once you've lotted it.

Great work, Marius.  Thank you for the preview.

Gary

good to see you around Marius...looking forward to the lot

dadyrghluv

i would love to see the security fences in use. maybe a security gate would be good too.  a gaurd gate building wouldnt hurt either, since after 9/11, they are gaurded by the national gaurd now.

love the textures, not too clean, not too dirty/grainy.

Don't mistake stupidity for courage

Yeah, apparently not. :P Thanks Pat!

I don't know what / who that creature is, and I can't remember where I found it, but it's my favourite little thing ever! LOL. I baptised him Wilbur Emmer Cortez III  :D

I think I might adjust the price downward a bit, but not too much as it is much larger than the Maxis one as illustrated below:

Thank you very much Gary, it's good to have a little break from school as I'm finished writing my third year exams, and only have two electives left on the 5th and 10th. Other than that varsity has been great this year thus far and I'm enjoying it very much!

I haven't mentioned it here, I believe, but I'm going to the US (Washington D.C., Iowa - Des Moines and Ames - and Atlanta) from the 1st - 15th of July and I'm quite excited about that as well. I was selected by the US Diplomatic Mission (Embassy) in South Africa to represent South Africa and my University as a Youth Ambassador, with the opportunity to engage in volunteering and public presentation in these cities and learn about the US culture and history. :) I'm really looking forward to that!

As said previously, fences are a minimum. Here in South Africa the Koeberg Nuclear Plant, for example, has a 5km radius secure zone. The only problem, however, is that such a big lot (30 x 32) will require many props and textures and we all know that there is a limit to that. *sigh*

I'll see what I'll do in the mean time, it might mean that the lot would have to be rather empty with "bare necessities" in place though.

EDIT: Just to make sure we're clear, the props for the Nuclear Plant were made by El Burro. :) And the reason I wanted to re-lot it was two-fold: (1) to give it CAM statistics and (2) to give it a fence. :P

Good start.  And a million might be a tad high, but well worth every penny.  I assume you get big bang for your buck with that one.
