Ok, I'll show some stuff I have.

This is one of the first towns in my region.  It is also one of the only flat areas in the region.

This one is more reflective of the rest of my region, up in the mountains and forest.

57 years ago the small town of January was mostly abundunt farmland, but now that the town has grown out of agricultre, the locals still wonder why this small farm still remains.
And those who tried to snoop around where never seen again. Legend has it that this is Area 52 and aliens are here, but they will never know that. $%Grinno$%

bump really old thread! These farms are 3rr style - 50x50 for most of them that are not stuck conforming to shoreline or a growing city. I apparently downloaded this region back in 08 with all the trees already there... so no, I have no idea where I downloaded this. I used a modified turbo demand mod that put IR at a minimum of 40K, thats +40K.... Also, this is only about 1/3rd of the region, which is actually a country I'm building :)

Just testing how my mosaic turns out, nothing special yet and I have to detail it in the future. Just started this week with a new region and hoping now that I can longer play this game then a few weeks ;) Start is promising with a city of 10.000 inhibs, which is my largest ever  $%Grinno$%

I finally decided to do a large city tile with nothing but a majority of farms.

As you can see, all the farms are above and to the right of the river, and all the residential and commercial are on the little section of land on the lower left

Currently has a population of around 30K and all the housing is primarily 1x1, with some sprinkling of 1x2 and 1x3 low res zoning.

Yeah I need to zoom in more for the city view, but I never liked small pictures of a small area, so I zoomed out.  I need to get way more farm buildings also(I have quite a few) and block maxis though

Hi Mike,

I guess you got the CAM installed? The stage 7 farms are landmarks. I don't know them very well, but I know it works that way. Otherwise there is someting rotten in the land of your Sims.

It's a C.A.M. feature, so it's normal to have Parthenons and Pyramids. There is a mod that removes the landmarks from the agricultural zones.

Yes I do.  I never managed to get stage 7 farms before, so it was quite the shock.

Hmm, those pyramid farms are intriguing.  :satisfied:

At first I was surprised, but after thinking about it, it actually does please me to see it, because if I ever really do get to where I can play a city for more than 200 game years(my record is 150 game years before I obliterate and start over) having them appear randomly be a nice little touch if I decide to tell a story.

I never knew that.  I think I will grab that mod and install it when I zone my next patch of farmland and go from there.

That is actually an achievement because it is not easy to get a stage 7 farm to grow. IIRC it requires a high industrial capacity and the farm zone has to be within the influence of a park or something with park effect.

Think about the landmark Stonehenge. It is located in the middle of the English country side in real life.

seriously the reqs are that high?  I guess using the Peg woodland as boundary lines is why it got that high.  The city only has 22K people in it, and its all zones 1x1 low density(although I do have a bunch of 2x2 houses since the game combined lots) and only 15 3x3 medium density zoned area's, and the rest of the land is all 10x10, and 20x20 farms, along with a couple larger farms.

I see the point about Stonehenge though, and honestly I think its pretty neat to see, just do not want to see a whole bunch of them like Coit Tower likes to do in the Commercial zones  lol

EDIT:  Here are pics of various landmark farms, plus a couple of farms I recently downloaded and added(thanks to Frank and Bison)

Hi Mike,

The maize farm is not mine nor mrbisonm's. It's an RFR production that you got from the STEX.
I like the windmill farm. Is it actually a farm where the windmill grows as building/farmlot and the simgoober wildflower propfamilies shape the farm fields? It looks funny. Especially because I ask myself which crop is exactly meant to grow here. Although it's colorfull. And also I don't really understand the lotting of the windmill lot, with this fancy pavement. It looks more like a tourist reward lot or something like that. But that's my opinion.

Oh I thought it was yours.

I dont understand it either, I have downloaded so much stuff over the years that come as rewards(especially from BSC) that I honestly have zero idea what the game is thinking when it grows these farms these days  lol

I use the NAM's Rural Roads for these situations. It does not have a sidewalk and no turning lanes.

Here is an example of what it can look like:

But I do not recognize the ditches. Where are they from? Somehow I have the feeling that I have overlooked something very important, because they look exactly as I am looking for for quite some time!

They're better than mine. The water colour looks like Mas's one, but I don't know if he did narrow ditches.

There is also something going on with the turning head of your gravel road, the texture isn't blending right. I'm going to have to have a look at that as I thought I'd got all the SAM streets pretty spot on. Just to check, that is SAM yes?

Yes! I found it. It's Neko Brook, orthogonal and diagonals. Very versatile set and all seasonal: green and brown seasons. Nice set.
Can you provide a link please ?

I'm sorry, Wou.
I found the lots on my HD. I did search for a link just now, but haven't found it yet. I'll try another day.

I found it in my plugins folder as well and after searching in my browser history, I found the site where I downloaded it: Hide and Seek (http://hide-inoki.com/bbs/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=858&sid=453f936e7fc3c3de16399cee74090af4).

Now that's how a first post should be done. Nice job with the MMPs, that scene looks wonderful!
I can't help but think I would look even better with a good mix of seasonal HD trees. (CP, Girafe)

Kisa Atsuko;
One is the small fields between the houses
very good idea. So what I like. Also when I
not in the Japanese-style build,
I always see me the Images like to reconnect.

manga rivotra;
A very good design with many different plants.
I really like the conclusion of the field.  &apls

mrbisonm;
What a nice stable environment.
Wow, the silage facility Miste - and the liquid manure tank
are simply divine!
I would like to have.

One of my farms.

art 128 : Thanks you for this warm welcome in the SC4D community :)
Mrbisonm and FrankU : the MFP1 will be a great addition to the LEX. Thanks you very much to share your works
Fasan : I've never seen a chicken farm in SC4 before. This totally great, and your use of MMP, texture and Bat choose is very precise and harmonious, really brilliant &apls &apls &apls

I don't know if it is allowed to post twice within 1 week into the same tread, but I have 2 others farms pictures with some more recent MMP

@ Fasan

Beautiful work! (As always)

@ manga rivotra,

Sure! Posting twice a week is OK, as long as you don't post the same images.  :D
And the MFP1 plus my Dutch Farm lots will surely come.

@ manga rivotra: Wow, just a handful of posts and already this good. I do especially like the rural village there and your MMP placement.

Fasan and manga rivotra make the best farms- incredible work.

This picture is mostly farmland with two buildings: one a shop for farming supplies and the other a small tavern.
