Appartently I am the only one that is listening to music these days :P

Sigur Rós - Hoppípolla

Love the music video for this song. A bunch of old folks acting as kids.

Next up:
Sigur ros - Ágætis byrjun

Love their accent. It the same when they speak Danish.

My god that music is awesome! I've never heard of math rock or this band before, though I am a prog rock and prog metal fan which are similar genres in some ways. Thanks a lot, gonna investigate (listen and read wikipedia :D) more about this genre.
Has it really been almost 2 years?
Must return. :)

Another math rock fan here, too--I'm a big fan of weird time signatures.  (7/8 seems more like 4/4 than 4/4 does to me. :D)  Thanks for sharing that link--I'll have to check that out.

Right now, I'm listening to something else I learned about from this thread.

Tame Impala - "Lucidity"

It's freaky how much their vocalist sounds like John Lennon.

Well, it is appreciated that you posted a link, thanks for sharing, but hopefully there is no block this time.

Guess I should mention something while I am here, can't believe I end up mentioning Yellow by Coldplay, not my choice, but its better getting stuck to this then other stuff.

Fred

Lol, I live in asia yet I can see the music video.

That is what block means, you hope not to see that, where ever you are in the world, when you don't want it to be.

Zacharuno

Hmmm. That's not the case with my link here in America. Though I've received that several times on Youtube. It gets annoying after the first click, lol.

Thelonious Monk - Bye-Ya / Monks Dream
Thelonious Monk - Blue Monk
Thelonious Monk - Pannonica

Monk is consider one of the giants of American music.
Consider Monk wrote around 70, but is still the second most recorded jazz composer.
Thats is quite remarkable as the most record Duke Ellington wrote over 1000 songs. A bit of a gap.
