Some updates on releases:

LA Parking Garage (not as good as Xannepan's set which I use all the time, but I'm rather fond of it and it's a bit different from the usual parking stations available):

Springhill Suites, Utah:

Mercure Hotel Sydney:

Note, I've also been uploading a handful of buildings to ST that have previously been only available here. I don't intend to replicate everything on both sites (there are approx 265 unique files on the LEX after all, it would take forever!) but will continue to make a few more buildings available over at ST (I only have 120 or so unique files there)

Now for some things in the works....

I'm making a London W2W prop pack Vol2. It won't be huge, I have 8 buildings so far, and may add 1 or 2 more prior to release. They are all real buidings centred around Charterhouse St and St John's St.

Closer to home, I have modeled my version of the Ivy nightclub in Sydney.

Should be released soon. In addition to being very unique with the green walls, just like the Sun and Moon Mall, it is also a series of laneways within the 4x3 and 3x4 lots, so lots and lots of visual interest with that one.

PaPa-J

These are and will be great additions Matt! Thanks for your hard work.

These are absolutely superb! The Brit W2W pack is very welcome indeed, the detailing and features are fantastic.

Absolutely love the Sydney Ivy BAT as well, gorgeous.

I have a question though. The foliage used on the Ivy, is there any chance the foliage alone could be exported as a stand-alone prop? I've been photoshopping some to create a green wall on some buildings but if a prop existing it would so much better in-game. I suppose that's more of a request than a question but thought I'd chance my arm and ask!

The parking and Ivy nightclub are superb indeed. Not to say the others aren't - I just won't use them since they don't fit my region style. :) Still very nicely done too!
I'll take a quiet life... A handshake of carbon monoxide.

So some new buildings released.

The London W2W pack Vol2

Is available here:

Sao Paulo art museum

Is available here:
https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/33035-sao-paulo-art-museum/
None of the ground is batted on that one, so the texture will change depending on whatever you have in your plugins, even that little ramp over the underground section

Ivy niteclub

Is available here:
https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/33045-the-ivy-nightclub/
Note: I also included the hanging plant prop as a separate file in that download, so you can all make your own green walls.

And because SC4 needs more W2W buildings like it needs an extra armpit, here's a start on some from NYC. These are mostly around Bond St, Lafayette St and Great Jones St in the Noho area. I'll keep batting these until I get sick of them and then make another pack:

Tyberius06

Hi Matt!

Thanks for the London Pack and the Ivy Nightclub is some awesome model too! I like these new NYC w2w buildings. And yes, we always need more w2w stuffs to keep our cities fresh ;) Thanks for making them!

Surfin this thread ...

... you're at high risk being washed away by a huge wave of beauty.

I'm quite shure. MattB325 isn't an individual person. It's a collective. A collective of 3d-creators.

mattb325

Thanks guys. A collective? possibly...some might say a coven is more likely.  ()borg()

I haven't done a huge amount since last time. Really severe late winter wind and snow storms have meant that power and internet have been a bit unreliable....the last thing I want is to start a BAT only to loose 10 minutes of work when the lights go out. But we have had actual proper, ski-able powder that has lasted for days, so that's one consolation.

Despite that, I have finished the New York W2W pack. Ten buildings in all.

Available here (DARKNITE)

I also released the Met Centre Tower:

Some new buildings in the works and set to be released soon are a set of apartments:

And, for something a bit different, a retirement home. It's been ages since I made one of these. It will be a reward, and is inspired by a real retirement home in Italy. While many of us dream of a retirement by the Mediterranean, I'm not sure this is what folks would necessarily conjure up as the retirement idyll  %confuso.

Krasner

That retirement home is really lovely, I like the details

Really sharp looking work Matt!  Love the retirement home.  When can I move in? LOL

I like all of them but those are wonderful:

Thanks guys

Some more bats have been released. Somewhere, many, many, many pages ago, I was asked to consider releasing the multi-function stations as just buildings. I have made a start on getting a few altered (removing all of the signage, platforms, blocking up walls etc) and I have decided that these will make good candidates for civic buildings and diagonal roads as we really don't have too many diagonals to choose from.

The Brutalist building from London's Spitalfields has become a college:

Here:
https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/33133-spitalfields-house-diagonal-college/

I have also made the Victorian 'wedding cake' station into a combined elementary and high school

Here:
https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/33145-diagonal-junior-and-senior-school/

There are more in the pipeline, so stay tuned. &hurl

And, just as a quick change of pace, I have whipped up a little clinic building. The image was sent to me by a member of the community.

Here:

metarvo

Thanks for continuing to provide us a steady flow of fresh buildings.  A variety of civic buildings certainly beats the old days in older SimCity games where one might have to plop the same school or the same police station many times in the same city tile, simply because there were no others available in-game.  Of course, the fact that some of them are diagonal is a major plus.

Good work Matt!

Thanks guys

A couple of bits and pieces....

I remade the old National Audit Office as a diagonal town hall

Here:
https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/33148-diagonal-town-hall/

I was also asked over on ST if I would make the Diagonal and FAR railway station into an ortho. Certainly easy enough, so I decided to give it a bit of a twist and make it really multi-functional, so a single lot can handle a lot of situations.

It can go on any height trench or berm associated with the hole digger/raiser lots. I would recommend sticking to between -15m or +15m however as outside this figure the stairs get a gap and the platform is a bit too far away from the rail.

Next up, I thought I'd whip up a little something in the I-M space

Canadian Bitters, according to its website, benefits individuals with flatulent dyspepsia, gas and bloating. :D

Thank you for keaping this game alive after so many years with your amazing creations. I can only wish that someday you'll come and do buildings for Cities Skylines. We do need the asset quality of your creations!!!  &apls &apls &apls

Thanks!

The Canadian Bitters Factory is released. I made two versions. One is the straight out I-M anchor version and the other is where the building has been repurposed as a mixed commercial venture and is suited to a W2W environment:

Here:
https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/33177-canadian-bitters-factory/

Next up, I've made some sunken plazas with a boldly architectural, geometric theme. I've batted and modded them in such a way as to receive shadows and have completely interchangeable props (quite often, the few sunken plazas available have everything batted into them which makes them impossible to change or can't receive shadows, so they stand out in a dense urban environment). Not so with this set.

There are three large pieces 6x6 each. Each of these 3 pieces has been lotted with a temperate, mediterranean or tropical look. The user can then use all of them, one of them or mix and match as desired.
While I didn't intend them to be modular, they actually do work well together, having similar elements and sizes and a cohesive mix of water, trees, sculptures, etc.
