Your new places are incredibly useful to the game.
They embellish absolutely all that is nearby in addition to being themselves very aesthetic.   &apls &apls &apls
A Must Have for any dense urban environment!
Thanks you also for all the great (and huge) stuff you made this last couple of month : you do not only keep this game alive, you also improve it very significantly!

It seems like I missed a lot of things! Everything is beautiful! Thanks for sharing! &apls

You continue to amaze!!  Great job,  &apls &apls &apls  Our Autumn is here, winter not long behind.

Thank You!!!

Breathtaking! Whenever I see some new stuff from you, I got excited! Amazing quality and great bats! Please, do more of some more generic everywhere-fitting civic buildings and modern residentials, that's something that really was missing!

I've made a university campus in Kolbr󷬠almost only with your bats  $%Grinno$%
Thank you for visiting Kolbrów, and for being for last ten years!

Badsim

As you know ,  I'm only active during that period of the year but I take care of keeping informed about all what happen in the SC4 galaxy all year long , and , lately , I've been particularly seduced by your plazas set ... absolutely irresistible !  &apls &apls &apls  You would release tens of these that it would be as much instant downloads . $%Grinno$%

If we had only two words to consider your work , we would say « So sexy! » . Past that first impression , it quickly appears as obvious that it is  not only due to your great taste in BAT choices  ; your modeling , texturing and Lotediting  styles  have their own standard , and , to say the least , that standard blends  particularly well with the game graphics . Truly , there's nothing to throw out , nor to neglect .

Now , something else piques my curiosity ; I've noticed that here and there you're using french terms ( « Merdique » Appartments , for example ,  was surprising - and such a good laugh  !  $%Grinno$%  ) ... is that due to some unexpected french influence all the way to Australia ( Seriously , I doubt !!!  :D ) or a little game due to some personnal references like some french lessons at school ? Whatever it is , thanks for these welcome touches of humor .

Thanks guys, glad you like the plazas. ;)

@Badsim, thankyou.  ()stsfd() Having lived in NW Europe for 10 years in my early 20s, I have spent an awful lot of time in France, and it is a very special place for me.
Funnily enough, for the French influence in Australia, the French arrived at Botany Bay only hours after the British in 1788. The Sydney suburb of La Perouse was named after the French navigator Jean-François de Galaup, comte de Lapérouse on that ship. While the British landed to claim Australia as theirs, the French were merely on an exploration mission. While there was no hostility between the British and the French at Botany Bay, both parties remained aloof to the other. The French stayed in Sydney for 6 weeks to make ship repairs before sailing to New Caledonia. It is amazing to think that Australia could have been French..... :o

So, a few new things to show.

First is the last of the re-purposing of the multi-station pack to diagonal civics. This one is a little library:

Available here:
https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/33247-diagonal-library/

I have also decided to give it a bit of an extension with a modern annexe, and will release it shortly:

Also, I have been working on a new casino:

It too, should be released soon, once I have finished modding/testing....

Akallan

Thank you for the history lesson! ;D I do not comment on your BATs, I think you know what I think! :D

The re-made station building is just - let's say - cute :D I'll certainly use it as a city hall for a smaller town - always useful

Love the little Library, and the casino is looking spectacular.

Yes.  And the library with the annex, the playfull water texture around - another stunning idea.  &apls Architects love to add their modern interpretation to classic shapes. So basically it's something I've seen quite often in RL ... but if I'm right the first time in SC4.

And the plazas on the previous page

And now the casino

Thanks guys. As part of keeping the game 'fresh' (I hate that term, but anyway ::)), I do try to look for things that don't already exist.

So, I'm exited to be able to soon possibly test Badsim's automata project. To me, what he has done, will really overhaul the game, by finally bring automata (which is not scaled) in line with everything else in the game, which is scaled. That to me is very exciting....

Anyway, onto things released:

The Georgian Library with modern extension:

Here: https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/33254-georgian-library-with-modern-extension/

The Emmaus Retirement home:

Here: https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/33270-retirement-home/

The Galaxy Casino & Hotel:

Here:  https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/33276-galaxy-casino-hotel/

Some planters (Ortho, Diagonal and two FAR-3) with some little filler pieces. Seeing I have made so many weird diagonal and FAR-3 buildings, the least I can do is make some props to go with them.

Here: https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/33284-street-planters-and-benches/

Now, for some things in the works:

A community centre. This is based on one from a uni campus in Pennsylvania and I have lotted it to tie into KOSC's parks (without needing them as a dependency):

Some new passenger ferry terminals. All of these are designed to be compatible with >90% of the seawall sets available (as long as those seawall kits have a left and right overhanging piece and aren't designed to be really deep). There aren't many passenger ferry terminals in game, and they are probably the most efficient form of transport:

MODEL 1

MODEL 2:

MODEL 3:

The Excelsior Hotel. This is just a fictional 90's styled building. The inspiration behind it is Trump's looming impeachment. I looked at the Watergate Hotel and copied the balcony treatment as a nod to this current event :P:

A sunken library to tie in with the plaza set. Just like the plaza set, it can receive shadows from other things around it.

Another mid-rise ('cause I wanted to have a building with a bit of wall-art/bling):

And, because I keep getting too many hkabt 'oops inns' growing in my cities, I made a bit of competition:

It's inspied by a real Ginza building, and there's a really col building next to it (called Ginza Cube) that I'll do next....phew, that was a bit of an update  :P

Tyberius06

Hi Matt!

Beautiful new stuffs on your end! I love the new w2w compatible buildings what you released, the sunken library is some awesome building with many possibilities. I love the new ferry stations and here is one of my questions:
Model 1 Image 3 - what is that seawall?
Question 2 - behind the excelsior hotel, what are those w2w houses with brown-ish walls? Also the diagonal highrises?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks! :bnn:

Q1: All part of uki sims stuff (from page 11 onwards) http://uki-sim.seesaa.net/index-11.html
Q2: BSC private stash. I've had it for approx a decade and get asked about it all the time. I believe it was supposed to be released, however, if the individual who made them doesn't log in over this northern hemisphere cool season, I will bat something similar in approx March 2020.
Q3: Jasoncw made the high rises: https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/30408-porto-ponta-negra-residence/, but I recommend just downloading everything he has ever made  ;)

Superb stuff Matt! Really loving the sunken library, though it all looks great in fairness!

One day I'll have to record the sounds that slip my mouth, when I scroll down your posts.

If I only knew how to spell wwwwwoooooooooaaaaaaahhhhffffffffnnnnnchsssszz correctly, I could write some propper words about the excitement I'm going through each time.

Thanks guys...

So, some new bats in the works:
The two buildings on the same Ginza street as the Yamaha building. These three buildings make for interesting W2Ws:

Trimble

oOh Media (a building in North Sydney). I just wanted to see if I could do those etched skylights that you see everywhere....the building was just an afterthought  ::)

New Releases:

The community Centre

Here: https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/33289-community-center/

And a whole new series of passenger ferries. A lot of custom content passenger ferries don't actually work for a whole slew of reasons, or if they do work, are very difficult to place, so I made some. I expect to see some copy-cat stuff soon. :P These ferries have the added bonus in that they will work with almost all of the sea-wall kits available

I love these little ferry piers. I haven't had the occasion to see them in getting yet but I have a question, can you plop them next to each other to make a longer pier? Just though it would be cool.

I quite like those other buildings. The w2w from Tokyo will definitely fit in my region. :)

^^it is possible, and they all function, but the automata scrape their backside up and down the pier like a dog expressing its anal glands, so it's rather funny to watch...  $%Grinno$%
