Title: Diggis' Detail Design
Post by: Diggis on July 02, 2008, 01:41:38 PM
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi302.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fnn110%2FDiggis%2FShingle.jpg&hash=711bfa311756607ce37dab1fb9934bd7c480d762)

Ever think "I know what would be perfect here!" and then not manage to find a prop or texture to fit?  Well, I've hung out
my shingle and am taking requests.  Small props only please.

The Rules are this:

1. I will gift the finished prop to you.  You are free to include in your upload, but not include it into any DAT files.
2. It must be set to install in the following folder: Plugins\BSC\BSCprops\Diggis
3. At some point I may release a mega pack and any work done here will be included.

So fire away.

Oh, and I can do secret ones if necessary.  Just drop me a PM.  I'm the soul of descretion.

So I already had my first commission before I opened shop.

Small fence request: No gates or openings.

It looks like you're off to a good start there Shaun. Nice little catch phrase you have there. It looks like your first commission turned out well. The only thought I would offer (and this comes from having absolutely no idea of what this is going to be used for) would be to make a prop consisting of only one side of the pen. Unless prop counts are an issue or it needs to be offset, the pen can be made with some quick rotation and the single piece can then serve other uses as well. Either way, good work on your first project. I hope to see many more to come.

Yeah, I thought of that Matt, but these were a request.  I will probably do up a set of straight pieces at some point.

Glad to see you're officially in business, Shaun. I'll take October, November and December, please - can't believe my teammate went behind my back and beat me to the first three months! :P

What size is the fenced-in area? It would make a great garden spot, and I can think of a few other uses as well - it gave me an idea I'd like to try out later on. Anyway, it will be a pleasure to watch this thread grow and prosper - and if you need any help with the BAT just let me know! ;)

Later...
Joan

Shameless plug: Here (http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=5156.msg163744#msg163744) is my first iteration on using Diggis' delightful fence. Which btw measures 15x15 m.

Thanks again Diggis!

OK, here we go again.  Casper asked for some Stainless bollards and barriers:

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi302.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fnn110%2FDiggis%2FBollards.jpg&hash=fae1ebbf7b03218c22cebb8a6ace0e7ca61d32c5)

not sure how well they'll show in game, will test that tonight or tomorrow and also get onto the barrier arms that you asked for too.

To be honest, probably not very well...unless they're about 50cm thick.

1.5m high and 20cm thick, don't expect the detail to show up, but like to add it in cos I know it's there. :D

Sorry I haven't got further with you're bollards there Casper.  I did render them yesterday, but am having some issues with one view not rendering properly.  I'll get back to it this week I promise.  I have also been working on another prop, for a secret project.  Sneak peaks here for you.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi302.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fnn110%2FDiggis%2FBAT%2FPond1.jpg&hash=69f2ca096b629f1b905b329890df169e6afd9563)

As you can probably see it's a pond.  Thats all I'll say for now.  :D

Shaun looking good there and I got a request from you if you got some time???

a flat row of floor bleachers 1 tile wide by 7 long and a half tile spacing in between the row, up to 5 row long if possible or how ever it will look good in game and show up? I dont know if tile is even the right word to use?

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg502.imageshack.us%2Fimg502%2F7760%2Fbleacherrowaw8.jpg&hash=aec670cddcce23ae1aeac9b2912b2a518d340821)

As long as you don't means an SC4 tile, as that would be one huge bench.  :D

I've done with the pond, so will just finish up caspers request and get started on yours.  ;)

So, each bleacher is 16m x 112m?  A tile is 16m square.  I think you mean metre  :D :D

Hmmm, I have been lax.  I have a couple of outstanding requests, but Barby's new Mayor Mode ploppables were missing something, so I got to work:

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi302.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fnn110%2FDiggis%2FBAT%2FSoldiers2.jpg&hash=4d76c5dced4a0513e20687ae1168e471bf8be06b)

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi302.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fnn110%2FDiggis%2FBAT%2FSoldiers3.jpg&hash=afab9200f20ca205a73b51bb85f4beacd15be203)

I'm going to do a few different arrangements for her to add as plop.

OK, Pat, I'm going to make a start on your model.  I just need to clarify a couple of things.  Is this to be a flight of bleachers?  or is it to be a single bench?

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Ftradonbuildings.com%2Falbums%2Falbum02%2Fbleachers.jpg&hash=58cebdc440221653e9db0afb61b9fd85904d0d65)

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2F4.bp.blogspot.com%2F_v78PAA8FEBw%2FSQ6ggecGEUI%2FAAAAAAAAApA%2FfnsoNifE11M%2Fs400%2Fbench.jpg&hash=e834cf31ae2bc2f5f41357b8fd28ca20e0e25b31)

And if it's the bench, do you want all 5 as a single model?  Or one bench per model?  How about people?  I can do 3 or 4 arrangements of people and make them into a family for you easily enough.
Title: Re: Diggis' Detail Design
Post by: Pat on June 04, 2009, 07:34:55 AM
Hey Shaun that would be sweet with the prop families and also 5 single benches per row with people would be cool!!!  Thank you sir for your help its soo very much apperciated!!!

Pat
Title: Re: Diggis' Detail Design
Post by: Diggis on June 04, 2009, 07:41:26 AM
OK, further questions.  Do you want the 5 benches to be one prop, or do you want 5 single bench props?  (I would suggest that the 5 benches as one would work better with people on it as you wouldn't get the same people arrangment appearing twice)

Also, do you want the people all facing the same way (for or show or something?) or do you want them in groups (like kids in a playground?)
Title: Re: Diggis' Detail Design
Post by: Pat on June 04, 2009, 12:45:58 PM
Shaun thank you for taking your time on this first of all... OK lets go with the 5 benches as one prop... About the people which ever way would look better for concert setting, not pickie at all on that part.... Thanks again,

pat
