Awesome video! Now if only the real world let you blow through a gridlocked intersection just because the light changed.  $%Grinno$%
Oh, it will... but you can really only do it once before you have to buy a new car.

Haljackey

Haha ya I wish you could do that in real life!

Today I start work on a highway extension project... Figured I better do it now before the area is developed.

That reminds me of the fact that one does not need a parachute to skydive.
You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

Highlight above for punchline.

Ryan, I'll have to watch that video later. I might skip a lot of it though, since watching RHW construction can often be as frustrating as trying to build it sometimes. I know the last time I built one I had a lot of rather simple but tedious parts in what was a decidedly simple interchange. Then the game crashed.

It's been a fun series, though, even if it has wasted prodigious amounts of my time.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Thanks for posting these videos.  I watched several of them, and enjoyed seeing your playing style.  But I have to say, as someone who hasn't done much with RHW yet, it's quite intimidating to see a NAM insider go through so much time and frustration to create those RHW intersection. :o  They are great looking intersections though. :)

It really is a labour of love. I'm constantly challenging myself with the mod, and even with nearly 8 (!) years of experience with it, I can still get as frustrated as everyone else. Retrofits / reconstruction projects set within a certain space can be difficult to pull off with a good-looking result, but it is a part of the game that I really enjoy. :)

While OSITM may be coming to an end, this SC4 video series is not. It will finish when I am done building the city.

It has been fun watching your videos, which of course I was first turned on to by your Reddit Post about the loop/exit.  You and I differ in some design aspects, some of which I blame on my AR tendencies, but it really it a lot of fun to watch.

Haljackey

So OSITM has come to and end, and this is now in Recently Published? I don't consider this a MD, and it was found in Other Projects before being moved to OSITM.

If someone could fix this, that would be great.

Anyways, I'll be continuing with this since there is genuine interest in it. Part 85 shows me putting the finishing touches and eyecandy to the retrofitted junction. Enjoy!

Thanks! And thanks to the mods for moving this back to it's old home :)

Today I start developing the area around the retrofitted junction.

Nice work Ryan. I see a couple of neat ideas.

I've been looking at your project every so often. It was a very good experience to watch a transit metropolis develop from a flat square of open space.
