very nice city here. i like your style of building. its a good start for your md.

i was wondering about the grass along your curved rail in your 2nd and last pics.  is that photoshopped or have you made some really really useful lots?  thanks!

Dark_Jedi06

Wow wow wow... ;D This is just beautiful, I love you're use diagonals, the canals and textures, not to mention all the trees. $%Grinno$% Your combination of buildings is also fabulous as well as their placement, it makes for a very crowded and busy composition. :satisfied:

In the last picture I was immediately drawn to the rail in the upper left corner and must echo jmdude's question. Because if they are an incredibly useful lot, I'd be willing to give an arm and a leg for them. :P

They were posted just on TSC Website.
I've not posted in TSC place because ... I don't know why .. &mmm

Peut être parce que personne de répond ...

Youcef,
That airport is looking superb there my friend!
I like the way you placed the terminals, that looks at the same time realist and futuristic, but excellent result. Also, the general shot is very impressive .
The diagonal runway is a great touch of realism my friend.
As for the postcard, the city is really nice, great effect. I like where is placed the big modern building.

Take Care,

-Arthur.
I'll take a quiet life... A handshake of carbon monoxide.

==> How to make his own Sidewalk Mod

Requested material :

- SimCity 4 Rush hour or Deluxe
- SC4Tool (clic here for download)
- A 128x128 sidewalk texture ( .bmp recommended )

So, we start :

You need a .dat file with some textures. If you have already one, go to point 4)  ;) !
If you don't have one, take one in your plugins folder, I counsel you one with some textures, copy it with an other name (for exemple ; "my own textures" ) and put it onto a "zzzz" folder in your plugins.

Here we go :

1) Open SC4tool and choose "texture editor"

2) Open your .dat file

3) We are going to delete all the textures in this folder, so you can add yours. Choose one per one all the textures and delete them with the cross button. /!\ Warning, make sure that one texture rest here /!\

4) Click on «add a texture»

5) That window will appear, follow these step :

1. Tick on texture trafic
2. Use this button to choose your sidewalk textures.
3. Click on the little camera, that will resize the texture.
4. Tick the ignore box, for put your IID texture.
5. Here enter this IID : 0x08100000
6. Click Ok

6) Redone these step but with these IID : 0x08200000 and 0x08300000, that will give you three textures.

7) You can delete the textures of step 3

8) Quit SC4tool and start the game, good game !!

I's not so difficult

Voila, I hope this tutorial is well explained and it will be useful to someone of you.

If you like this tutorial, you can post  ;)
Thank you

Youcef.

This is a really great MD  &apls
I really like the lotting and the look of your city, everything matches well together

Thanks for the tutorial, though it might be a dumb question, but where do you exactly find the textures of the game itself, since they're not in the game?

Keep up the good work,
Fabian

Dark_Jedi06

That airport is phenomenal! :o :o I've been thoroughly inspired. ;D

Are your props available for download somewhere? Because they looks very useful. :) As I do not speak french, the TSC website isn't the easiest thing to navigate and Google's translations are atrocious. $%Grinno$%
