[/data][data]I'm continuing to work to improve the textures on the "wide-curve" roads that were included in the recent NAM.

We've also modified our waterfalls so that they can fall directly into game water.

Always a bunch of stuff going on over at 3RR [ linkie ].

Glad to see you over there.

David

p.s.:  @Aragorn- jeronij's plop rocks are now on the SC4D LEX [linkie].

The making of the second map (part of one, actually) is completely explained start to finish on a tutorial I'm finishing up now over at 3RR [ linkie ].  C'mon by and take a look.

[/data][data]What could you do to improve a great shoreline like this?

Build the Des Plaines Spur railroad line along it- that's what.

Click here to check out the full-size mosaic [ linkie ].

It's been a busy past couple of days over at 3RR [ linkie ].  Be great to see you stop by.

[/data][data]In the newest NAM whereabouts are the curved roads, I cant find them. [/data][/row]

[row] [data colspan=2]#1758  07/25/2007 08:28 AM[/data] [/row]

[/data][data]Matt, I'm presuming you found the curved roads- I haven't been by for a while and missed your question.  If you haven't found them, they are under the puzzle-piece icon in the "Road" submenu.  Just keep tabbing...

* * *

Along that line, it's been 10 days since Matt's comment, but that old page view counter keeps clicking away.  At the rate we're going, we'll hit 40,000 in early August.  Including the almost 30,000 over at SC4D [ linkie ], that's a lot of folks looking.  I really, really appreciate that.

* * *

So we're making a great deal of progress on the mega-terrain map of the region.  Here's a few shots.

Each one of those has 30 large quads (cities) in it.  Remember that 3RR is 16 large quads by 16, so I'm a bit over a quarter done with this effort.

Here's a link [ linkie ] that will open in a new window (385kb) a mosaic of those images all the way across the top of the region.

This effort, and a few associated things, is basically the last step before the quads will be placed in the hands of the collaborators.

There's always stuff going on over at 3RR [ linkie ].  See you there.

Later.

[/data][data]I'm new to SC4 and I just downloaded this region. I'm glad that there are options for those of us whow want to build a larger region. The only question I have is that I'm having trouble laying out how I would like my city to look since the map is so big. Is there anyway to zoom out further on the map?[/data][/row]
