[/data][data] ;D WELCOME TO PAGE 67!!

I love the pics of the highway exit, it looks like a scene off of I-81 in western Virginia.

[/data][data]OK, that's just brilliant - well done to everyone involved in the creation of the non-standard road angles. But it annoys me that the designers didn't put this kind of thing in the game in the first place! Thankfully we have devoted people like you  :D[/data][/row]

[/data][data]We have the textures matched...

...and have the textures for the "long" end transition done.

Keep an eye out over at 3RR [linkie] for today's progress.  It won't be long!

[/data][data]Very nice. Iam wondering if you are going to put a word into the NAM team about this. The road looks useful and Iam eagerly waiting for it over here and at SC4D[/data][/row]

[/data][data]Shingure, thanks for your interest.  Alex (Tarkus) is making them into puzzle pieces now, and like the wide radius road curves that he, memo, Andreas and I worked on last spring, they should find their way into the NAM the next time around.  In the meantime, since you and a few others have been kind enough to show your continued interest in 3RR with your comments, you might find something under your cyber-pillow shortly.

Here's an ST exclusive.

There's more pics over at 3RR [linkie].  Thanks for your interest in this.

Later.

[/data][data]holy crap! now we can really break the grid with this new breakthrough. is the road dragged from the angled elbow, or are they TEd lots? either way, this is awesome!

[/data][data]Dan- the fractional angle road MOD, or FAR, will consist at present of three basic puzzle pieces pathed by Alex (Tarkus) as puzzle-pieces for the NAM.   These will include a short (17.4 degrees of arc) end curve, a long (72.6 degrees of arc) end curve and a 2x3 gridsquare long straight segment.  As puzzle-pieces, they will need to be plopped, at least for a while.  There may be potential for making the straight segments draggable to variable length from a stub on the end pieces- this is echelons above my skill level...

...I'm the idea guy- folks far more skilled than I put this in a form that you can use it in the game...

All I've done in these pics is put them on "dummy" TE'd lots so that you can look at them now.

There's, of course, further discussion about this over at 3RR [linkie], where we just passed 75,000 page views thanks to, I'm sure, all you folks here coming and peeking.

Again, thanks for your interest in this.

Later.

[/data][data]Alex (Tarkus) has been working hard on the FAR (fractional angle road) puzzle-pieces to get them into the NAM.   Here's a recent progress pic he posted over at 3RR [linkie].

We're also working hard on getting ready Silvio's (Rayden) quad- Pink SW.  Here's a pic of the western end of the quad, just before it was reforested after adding the new SAM roads.

Here's Brazile Hot Springs, ready for Silvio to add some detail to.

60,000 page views in 3RR here at ST by the end of this month- bet?

Later.

Only if we could then intersect those roads with other roads. That might be stretching it though.

I have to second collgab's question about euro textures, even thought I'm running the risk of sounding unappreciative! (which I'm not!)

[/data][data]I've been so focussed on 60K page views coming up here that I completely overlooked that we were about to hit the 2,000th 3RR-ST post.  Our new friend and 3RR Regular* Zach (The Big Z) rang that bell yesterday, and I think that might just call for something special here over the coming weekend.  Thank you, Zach, very much and thank you to all of you as well for keeping my old motivation level going.  As I've said before, the best in 3RR is yet to come.

Here's a few eye candy pics from Silvio's (Rayden) quad Pink-SW.

The FAR (fractional angle roads) are very, very close according to a PM I received a bit ago.  Should be a good time, whether you're here, or over at 3RR [linkie].

Take it easy.

*  A 3RR Regular, as I've warned you before, is anyone who has ever posted at least once either here or over at 3RR on SC4D.

[/data][data]I am loving those roads! The curves and angles remind me of my hometown. Those would be serious fun to play with.

And, as for the new quad... it is truly Pretty in Pink!

Happy 3RR2K-ST! Off to check under cyber-pillow...
