Well, for the people who don't want to donate for the LEX DVD (just like me), there's a Petronas Towers there. I know there's a Petronas Towers in STEX by kd5rax. But I think kd's Petronas are overscale (taller than the WTC. But in real life, the Petronas is REALLY taller than the WTC :P but by only a few fet. kd's Petronas are way taller than Rubik's WTC.). But I have an idea to the LEX DVD Petronas. What if you can compress the file to about 10mb and upload it to LEX. Or you can even upload it to Moddb (just like the NAM). It's just my thought, though I'm still enjoying kd's Petronas. But I was to try the LEX DVD Petronas.

I don't think the site moderators will be happy with that. Remember, this site is running on donations and subscriptions...

Petronas towers included in the LEX dvd like few other BATs are exclusive. It means that you can't find them somewhere else.
The fact you can only have them by purchasing the LEX dvd is done for boosting the sells of the dvd. Without exclusive BATs, dvd would be less attractive. And we need the money resulting from the dvd sells for maintaining the forum and LEX platforms.

This is the end, hold your breath and count to ten, feel the earth move, and then...

Never happening. There's a reason it is in the LEX DVD.

Well, just for proof, what's the comparison from kd5rax's Petronas Towers and the LEX DVD Petronas Towers? Is there even an EXCLUSIVE WTC in this? ;D

In ancient times - well 2004 :D
kd5rax made a BAT of Petronas Towers. He asked BSC for help to improve his initial models;
Rubik3 continued and finished the modelling;
Colyn spent over 500 hours (and bought a new computer) to render the models;
Grover_G drew up the lots design;
Geoffhaw made all the custom textures;
CJMarshall did the pathing for the network enabling;
Colyn made the lot;
Daeley did the reward programming.
After testing there was an immediate problem. The package was almost 20MB and could not be uploaded to an exchange at the time. So it sat waiting for an opportunity to be allowed out in public. The SC4DVD was proposed and Petronas offered itself for inclusion.
Phase two of Petronas life began. BarbyW updated the modding using the X_Tool and Diggis made a new lake.
This has been a true community co-operative effort and will be only available on the DVD. It needs CAM to function properly. I have had Petronas in a region now for many sim years and after some initial dilapidation it has remained stable and fully functional since.
So I present you - Petronas Towers - jewel of the DVD:

Are both version similar in height? :)

That, I don't know. I've never used any of them and I don't own a LEX DVD.

One quick question: can the LEX DVD be delivered in the Philippines? Or just Canada and US?

Everywhere in the world. Except some countries I don't remember. But Philippines should be okay. ;)

Of course, we're out of discs at present.

I'm not sure this topic serves any further purpose at this point, so thread locked.
