Great video, thanks for sharing!

Regarding video capture, I use Fraps. The downside with the program is you need a wicked fast PC to help minimize lag and enough hard drive space to store the RAW video files. I can end up with multiple 4GB files of video data which needs to be rendered and compressed in a video editing program and PC performance comes in handy here as well.

EDIT: New page? May as well stick one of my new videos here:

It's a long one because I didn't speed this one up.  :P

Anyway, I use FRAPs and have even encountered lag, but you have to calculate the amount of memory the video takes, versus quality, video format/transfer/uploading speed, when it comes to 3D games, this can take up more. However, Fraps seems to be the best at capture SC4, its not 100 percent free though. CamStudio on the other hand records games like SC4 for free, less memory space then Fraps, but I have not gotten it to record sound for any game. I just had to make it seem that way by editing existing noise.

I have Fraps, but only the free version as I won't get the full version. As for CamStudio, it lags a lot for me. I alter the capture rates a lot but without luck.

Thanks for your comments and advice :)

@ netmod: Here's how I inserted my video:

I took the video URL (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDE7osq0ehw)
I then edited the video URL to get rid of the watch, the ? and the = surrounding the 'v' (so it's like http://www.youtube.com/v/ZDE7osq0ehw)
Then, simply click on the Flash button at the left of the row above the smileys, and paste the edited URL there. Also, editing your resolution (where it says [flash=(resolution)]) is very useful.

Hope that made sense,

Sam =)

Netmod: the video says sorry about the music, but I don't hear any music with the sound on, you may need to alter YouTube's AudioSwap music if you have not done so already.

following what samerton said, the very least resolution number you want is 800,600

so your video would look like:

Mostly writing pony stories on FimFiction.net, but Cities: Skylines is my new best friend.  Anything and everything I made for SimCity 4 is fair game for use and distribution.

Nice crossing!

New video from me. Take a drive down one of my city's main streets, showcasing a variety of different intersection designs. Afterward, the video continues as a road tour of the city until my car blows up.

Aw man! I am jealous how that came out at 2:42. Cool videos bro.

Those are really nice! I love how you make use of multiple tiers, rather than everything on flatland at ground level. It sure helps break the monotony that I often see. Cool!

After my upload for the previous upgrades, I just thought it was necessary to put a new one up.

It was soundless at first, but after I edited and rendered it, I guess the editor had a hiccup
