My desktop background is a picture taken of my backyard during a blizzard at my former home in New Jersey...

Here's mine . . . the wallpaper rotates every hour, so this is this hour's:

It features Buffalo Sabres left wing Jason Pominville.

Tarkus

Here's mine with my latest desktop, scaled down a little.  Anyone recognize the wallpaper?

And for an off-topic digression, if you're wondering what the heck that "Heptatonic Modal Spider Chart" is, here's a glimpse.

That's a small segment of it reduced to 2%--full-size, it's 17 feet (5.2m) long. It's related to a music theory text I'm writing.  (Heptatonic is a term referring to 7-tone musical scales). [/end off-topic] ;)

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it

My current desktop, a pipedream for a Sydney Metro (to work alongside the existing Sydney Railway System). Previous one was a cropped image of the complete London Rail System (which Tonks posted in a thread over on ST, and thought would make a neat desktop. No shot, but It did.  :)

My current wallpaper. Sorry, was too lazy to resize. :P

Vester, that's a bridge with a difference.

Not so much a swing bridge as a tipping one  ;)   It's incredible to watch.

Ahhh now I recognized it and the old one too. Seen it in one of my courses: Bridgebuilding.
