David, (yep, still calling you that),
As you know I have put in about $1.25's worth of my 2¢ worth.   I have posted a bit here, in PM's to you, and in the "rules" section.    So far I don't think I need the lawyer to help me with my defense.   LOL   But ya never know.     I think even Jacky has been made aware of my feelings on the subject.    That being said, I will not launch into another diatribe (<can you tell my GF is a Professor of American Literature) on the subject.    I'll just say that I am okay with enforcement of "clearly defined" rules when it is done across the entire spectrum of this community.   Nuf said?

On to other things:

Tarkus commented:

Regarding this whole scaling issue . . . I remember reading about a local roadway improvement in the newspaper, which was to involve widening a two-lane road to three lanes (two lanes plus center turn lane).  They also had the road width dimensions, and if I remember right, the three lane roadway was going to be about 74 ft. wide, which converts to just under 22 meters.  If you divide that out, each lane is about 7.3 meters in width.  A quick Google search turned up the Road Width Standards for the city of Mill Creek, WA, which also seems to be in line with this figure.  The two lane road in SC4 is 16 meters, so it actually works out just about right proportionally.

I still, however, have a really hard time believing it . . .

The avenue, however, based on these calculations and figuring it is derived from a five lane model, is actually a few meters too narrow--though it might be that the inner lanes are narrower since they don't need to have shoulders.

I don't know why but this absolutely fascinated me.    It really amazes me that someone has taken the game to that kind of level.    Just like you and the mapping you do.    It is incredible to think that ya'll have devoted so much to this just for our enjoyment.       I just want to take a moment and say thanks to ALL the people how are so dedicated to making this game more true to life and fun for us all.     Thanks.

Looking forward to more posts, soon.    And I can't wait to see what you put on the STEX!       I find myself sitting here waiting for it to show up while I am still on line.  LMAO    I need to stop in to a couple more CJs and a forum or two before bed.   (nearly 11pm here in Iowa).      Later my friend.

[/data][data]I follow this thread like a fat boy follows a cake..So I"ll stop my continuous lurking and post something:

Your region is.....muy muy muy perfecto. It got me to start playing SimCity again (along with the pathetic attempts at something sweet like this.) But yeah...It's great, and I can't wait for your new region.

BTW, the list of the mods is really good. It's improved my game a TON.

[/data][data]I am jealous of your pristine location! When I open the front door, all I see is a little street with kids playing footy 'cross the road... I want to see what you see!

Good luck with everything!
