Coldplay--"Spies"

Imo, the best song off of Parachutes.  Though they're all good. :)  Looking forward to the new album . . . just another 16 days.  ;D

Alanis Morissette - Straitjacket

My new theme song I think

Still Alive - GLaDOS/Portal

Definitely MY new theme song!

xxdita

It certainly is quite a year for music.

I still have Alanis Morissette's Flavors Of Entanglement on repeat.
Now, Moratorium.
"I declare a moratorium on things relationship
I declare a respite from the toils of liaison
I do need a breather from the flavors of entanglement
I declare a full time out from all things commitment "

I'll Make A Man Out Of You - Disney's Mulan

Average White Band-"Pick Up the Pieces"

Holiday - The Bee Gees

One of the most evocative pieces of pop out there- 40 years old and it sounds as fresh as if it was released yesterday.

Pink Floyd--"Let There Be More Light" from A Saucerful of Secrets

Just picked it up the other day, first time listening to it.  Syd-era Floyd.

Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother Suite

I had to go put that on after seeing Alex's post.  Close your eyes and it's the 60s all over again.

Next up- The Who - Tommy

...now you can't hear me
your ears are truly sealed-
you can't speak either
your mouth is filled
you can't see nothing
and pinball completes the scene
here comes Uncle Ernie to guide you to
your very own machine...

Wilco--"Side With The Seeds" from Sky Blue Sky

Have really been getting into Wilco lately.  Just listened to Yankee Foxtrot Hotel earlier tonight as well.

Erm, "Iron Nipples" by Tits Of Death  $%Grinno$%, and laughing so hard I can hardly play SC4. Ah, youth!

Btw how come "A Saucerful of Secrets" is Syd-era? Isn't it Gilmour playing?

Gilmour is indeed on Saucerful, but Syd is as well, though he was pretty far into his unfortunate decline by that time, so his contributions are pretty limited.  He's only given writing credits on one song, "Jugband Blues".  So it's just barely Syd-era.

Thank you...Saucerful was the first Floyd album I heard, back in '74, I was hooked instantly...anyway I like Gilmour and what's more, he's a David though inexplicably overloooked in the Dave's Day thread.

Now: Born To Be Wild - Ozzy Osbourne & Miss Piggy  :P
