@ travismking,
Does duch a large region not slow down your computer terribly? Or is it just a matter of HD space, which wouldn't bother me at all? I always fear for large regions because of that.

@ Mayor_Erinhold,
Welcome and: Nice! Interesting landscape! I'd like to see more of it.

@ Vortex,
A beautiful combination of landscapes in that region already.

@FrankU: it doesnt slow it down at all really i have no problems
@compdude: Its a pretty amazing region. Im playing the same way for the most part, makes it much more fun

FrankU

Oh, all right, maybe that was one of my old fashioned preoccupations.... Thanks.

Due to advances in satelite technology, the federal government has been able to economically map the rest of the country with high definition images.  A few remote villages in areas previously thought to be unpopulated were also found in the process and a crew has been dispatched by the government to make contact with the villages.

Interesting region, and welcome to SC4 Devotion, Mayor_Erinhold!

Anyway, that Cardwell region that others have been discussing is pretty nice! I think you all just convinced me to download it and start playing on it. I'm thinking of doing a natural-growth type of approach to it since I think it'll be fun to do retrofitting in order to put in new infrastructure such as freeways, much like RL. It seems more fun than planning everything beforehand!

I don't think I'm going to abandon my current region, since I'm gonna need my RHW fix every now and then (and this new region won't have any freeways till a lot of development comes in), but I definitely can see myself having a lot of fun with this region.

@FrankU: Here's the download link. A small note. Name the folder Mirror Hollow in your regions folder and download each file into that folder. The Mods are included hopefully  %confuso

I try not to use road mods, or building mods.
I do use RCI mods and Traffic mods to keep the game flowing.
I'm new and hope to learn whilst here.

I really like your region and I would like to give it a try. Can you give a link to where you found it. If its a map you made can you upload the region without your cities. Thanks

Create a folder in your regions folder called Mirror Hollow, and down load all the files to it

Mayor Erinhold Thanks you, very much appreciated.

From my MD The Winding River Project, here is the capitol of that story, Lakestead City, which I am still playing on.

This is also my 61st map that I am about to finish.
The link below the picture is the fullsized version of the region.

@mrbison: looks very nice :) I just feel like its too urban with not enough farm and rural land, but thats just my personal playstyle :) but i do love the way the terrain dictates what is built and where

Thanks for the comment. that city region was created to look as the Capitol of my MG/CJ story, since I was working with 9 regions in all to tell the story of the Winding River Project.

It´s dusty here...  $%Grinno$%

My computer crashed, but luckily SC4 is working on a netbook. I play a region with mostly medium tiles, always 6 neighbors, and I try to hide the borders in region view (region is originally 4x4 big tiles). So the most towns cross the tile borders. The picture shows a the situation around 1860 in Misery Bay/Simmania. First railways were built and early industry started growing.

I hope, you can open the link, the picture is about 2.8mb  ;)

You did quite some farming! Lots of work and a nice result.  &apls

I've developed a little more of this region since I created this image a couple of months ago, but it's still very representative of the Passau city region. Still so much to do!

Very nice town view! I must admit, that I regulary become envy, if I look at such a well made town (I never ever did built one by myself  $%Grinno$%)

And here I found a lot of "satellite pictures", that wandered into my picture folder to be able to look at them from time to time. I am surely addicted...  ()stsfd()

been having a lot of fun playing this region the past couple weeks, soI figured i would share a quick region shot of it. Obviously its growing quickly and probably a lot of that farmland between settlements on the east wont be farmland for long
