Ok, this is not a MD, it could be but I have no rights by now to post a new MD; but yet to post a new project that this can be considered a project because im using, doing different tools for doing this. I'll explain how I came with my concept...

I came with this idea thanks to our friend Cédric (Badsim) from Antigone, he definite inspired my in play the game like this, my first try was in my MD Canatlán, was 70% eyecandy, but I used maxis and the NAM, then I tried a new concept of working the entire MD as like a mock, the I though doing the mock city (American style) I came with that idea, and it was great, but since im not that familiar to American i thought doing my own country would be the best idea, so I came with this, i'll explain how I work on this and I hope to inspire more people in doing this style.

First, what I did was to plan a new map area where I supposed to make my city, due this is a 100% LE city, it must be built into a really flat terrain, but its absolute boring doing it in a plain flat map so I started looking for a perfect map, which I didn't found one.

1. THE MAP
Obliusly when you start a region or something, first you look for a map where you can play, if you plan doing mock (eyecandy) cities, its important that your terrain is flat, if not the lots will be floating around, and a mess around. You need to look for a flat map, i'll show you an example of a map I did by myself.

What I did first was doing the map, by the next tip. If you want to do your own map you can follow my maps tutorials here on SC4D: http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?board=223.0
I downloaded NHP Matinenda by Blade2k5 and Beskhu3pnm . http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=18988

Then I loaded it with the SC4TerraFormer by wouanagaine. Using the export tool I exported it as PNG file.

Using photoshop edited the whole region, removing some hills and just letting the mountains, also I clone and inverted the mountains for variety, until I got something like this...

Is difficult to see while you edit in photoshop, because its way to darken, the solution is to make it best possible on phoshop, then import to SC4T and edit the small details over there (you must use photoshop due you can only work on 16-bit files)

I wanted an small map, not a bigger one, but the problem was the size of the mountains, what I did was to resize the mountains into a small place, giving an excellent detail (even as like a 3m quality map)

The result was a 4x4 large tile region which is perfect for built an mock (eyeandy) style city.

After doing a render, I got something like this...

You can quickly see the really flat area, which is unrealistic especially when you add trees...
Selecting a terrain mod it's optional also the tree controller...

As for using a terrain mod I suggest reading this mine tutorial:

I've used Bajio Terrain Mod by mine, located at STEX: exactly here: http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=20590

As for tree controller, I suggest reading this mine tutorial:

I've used Meadowshire River Tree Mod, located at LEX, exactly here  http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=59
