Today, the Network Addon Mod has become a teenager.  13 years ago, NAM Version 1 was released, on April 24, 2004.  It's hard to believe it's that old . . . heck, it's making me feel old. :D. Thanks to everyone who's kept it going for all these years, and to the community for the continued support.

Unbelievable! 13 Years, like you said Tarkus, me too, I feel old all of sudden, although I was here before SC4 even was published.
NAM has come a long way and has done a lot and gave us a lot of things. I can't even imagine what it would be like playing without NAM.

Happy Anniversary NAM.

From today, there can be legitimate users of this forums that born after the release of the NAM, which is mind boggling enough

but it is to meet the social needs of man and the development of the society"

It was the NAM that got me to get sim city 4 back in 2005... and I remember first installing the game and not realizing the NAM was a mod, and then taking a couple months to figure it out. Happy Anniversary.

The NAM team has done the greatest thing and extended the life of SC4. Without your work the ancient game from MAXIS no longer needed. Dull streets since 2004 with no turns and a terrible railway ... You kept me here for another 13 years! And that's who needs it? Without Your NAM, I calmly play cards for money ...
THANKS to the NAM TEAM - YOU HAS SAVED MY MILLIONS (which was not).
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to YOU!!!

I would just like to add that as SC4 updates are concerned, the BIGGEST and exciting update since SC4 inception, was Rush Hour; right behind that was a MAJOR update NAM.  Congrats and Otan Jyobi desu NAM san.   :bnn: :bnn: :bnn: :bnn: :bnn: :bnn: :bnn: :bnn: :bnn:

Apart from the Maxis' release of the Building Architect Tool, the Network Addon Mod by far has been the single most disruptive paradigm shift that happened to this game. Probably no one ever would have imagined that (though of course there has been a lot of other important developements) this nowadays would be a reason we can celebrate the NAM's 13th birthday. I never experienced anything alike in other gaming communities. Thanks to everyone who ever contributed to this fantastic achievement. As long as someone's playing the game, dragging GLR, constructing mind boggling RHW interchanges or having heavy trains running on viaducts, none of your tremendous work will ever be forgotten.

Happy Birthday to you, NAM.

It's a huge honour to be able to contribute to the #1 mod for SC4. Happy Birthday NAM.

I still remember the very first "Pathfinding Modd" and the "Transit Bugfix" by the7trumpets, which where the initial starting point of the NAM in mid/late 2003, even before "Rush Hour" was released. Back then, it was groundbreaking alright, custom modding had just begun, and we were glad that the community was able to fix some annoying bugs and quirks that Maxis/EA left in the original game files. :)

It was a modest start, and nobody could have imagined into what the NAM developed over all those years, with so many additions and expansions of the transit network, like the roundabouts, GLR, diagonal streets, rail viaducts, and then all-new "networks" like RHW, NWM, HSR, all those custom bridges, countless puzzle pieces and now the transition to FLEX stuff, and many many more!

Congrats to the NAM Team for their achievment, and I'm very happy that there are still active developers who dedicate lots of work and time into the project, despite of all woes, such as the aging game and the shrinking community, RL workload and many other things that are more important these days. Thank you very much, guys!

Happy birthday, NAM Team! &apls NAM changed the community drastically. NAM also popularize the highway mod, puzzle pieces, traffic fixes, etc. As reply for your contributions, I will give you badge, some short plans, logo, and (hopefully) textures. I know that your logo doesn't have serious problem. Your logo just lack more legibility and some modernization. Not to mention that your logo is bad or not 100% legible. Your logo still legible, though.  "$Deal"$

Sorry if I place many pictures here.

Hi, ChiefZDN...
I think - You get excited again ... the NAM Team is not the area where You can specify. Many of us work with NAM versions from his born. And no one never cared about the logo. Logo for NAM - a Beautiful and recognizable over the years. If You want to offer something new - PM for the NAM Team. You haven't shown any logo nor on SC4 Devotion and no on Simtropolis ... :)
And one more word. I work with SC4 and NAM. I NEVER LOOKED AT THE LOGOTYPE!!! All this sitting has long been in your brain!!!
NAM - or it is or not. For me - YES
I'm here only 10 years  :'( :'( :'(
