Hello everyone,

Here I will show you some of my personnal creations on the Building Architect Tool. I'm currently using Gmax, and as I'm quite a begginner at this kind of custom creation, the idea of this thread is to get some advice from the community, eventually ideas to increase the quality of my work. Say everything you'd like to say about what you will see here !

I started two quite big projects actually : a pack of small mid-19th century, low-wealth, french buildings on one hand, and an old modular factory on the over hand.

Here are the low-wealth buildings :
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fnsm08.casimages.com%2Fimg%2F2016%2F09%2F01%2F%2F16090112405921771114463838.png&hash=468bfb910628335ae295126d32f3f92fdcce6fe9) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=16090112405921771114463838.png)

I actually planned to create six of them, maybe more. The four I show here are finished or almost finished. Depends of what you think of it.

THEN, here is one of the base pieces of my modular factory. I planned to create also some pieces with smoketacks, some pieces with large doors and platforms for trucks, an office for the foreman and the tiny house of the boss. Everytning to recreate an old-fashioned, 19th century european factory of variable size.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fnsm08.casimages.com%2Fimg%2F2016%2F09%2F03%2F%2F16090303140621771114468362.png&hash=44439b7d1eba44b4ee93fe105a5321a1937cc937) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=16090303140621771114468362.png)

I tried to export my work for the very first time just tonight, and I'm still a beginner with the PIM. Here is the result in-game. The lot is, of course, just an ugly try.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fnsm08.casimages.com%2Fimg%2F2016%2F09%2F08%2F%2F16090809240121771114479940.png&hash=8aafa2649a6b98ae8c4c329e21db028555fee605) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=16090809240121771114479940.png)

The problem is that this export apparently failed, because at the closest zooms my BAT is replaced by a weird grey-blue "hole"  :o I certainly made a mistake.

I also have some other, smaller projects (houses and small train stations), which are in good way to realize.

Always good to know someone new is making BATs. Even if you are just starting out, it's clear you must have some talent for this.  Building 3 particularly excites me, I can think of many uses for such a corner building myself.

The roof on Model 2 looks too bright to me, perhaps the Saturation should be reduced on the Red part also.

As for the problem with the industrial model, in the first instance check your LODs in SC4BAT. They may simply need re-making, if that doesn't work, let us know.

Good start! Nice textures too.

I agree with mgb204 regarding the LODs. Try it and see.

Welcome maharadjahdesaboum,

These are really nice buildings for a beginner!  &apls
You are not really a beginner. Maybe with SC4, but not with Gmax I think... am I right?

The roofs of model 1 (rear building) and 2 are a bit too bright: like the sun is shining on brand new glazed tiles. The dirt on the roof shows the tiles aren't new, so the shininess should be way less. Otherwise I think the textures are really great. Good work.

Thanks to mgb204, Schriefer, Simmer2 and FrankU for advice and compliments  ::)

Considering that I made a few modifications on  1. and 2.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fnsm08.casimages.com%2Fimg%2F2016%2F09%2F20%2F%2F16092006574121771114505449.png&hash=3f1809f06e6eefc682ba2d710dcd48304a727250) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=16092006574121771114505449.png)

And here's what I finished last week : a orthogonal/diagonal angle.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fnsm08.casimages.com%2Fimg%2F2016%2F09%2F20%2F%2F16092006574021771114505447.png&hash=d2dbedac3f8f8f5275c6c49495688447629dcff2) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=16092006574021771114505447.png)

The idea came from this marvelous house by Manchou (https://www.toutsimcities.com/downloads/view/1774 (https://www.toutsimcities.com/downloads/view/1774)) which is quite difficult to use in the game because it's almost a stand-alone in its size and style. That could be the beginning of an entire pack of diagonal buildings of this size, it would depend of my motivation for that.

An by the way :

I started to play on this game years ago, I can't even remember when  ;D I started BATting seriously like 4 months ago and I still consider myself as a beginner because creating big models still creeps me out. I tried to make a huge sanatorium at first. I hadn't really abandonned the project but it's SO MUCH WORK  :'(

Very good work.  :thumbsup: These kind of small to medium size filler buildings are always useful, even if one does not play strickly french style city. :) Thank you.

I like grunge texture effect you have made.

Diagonals would be useful. And FAR too. There are not that many wall-to-wall FAR buidings. However are you planning to match Manchou's model sizes? I think that Manchou's models are tad too big and this is why I don't use those in my cities.

Thank you korver ! I must admit that this diag pack is still quite a vague project now. A complete creation usually deserves more than an entire week with my regular dedication to it (I mean, it deserves 3 or 4 evenings from 7pm or 8pm to midnight. I guess I'm quite slow :bomb:). So I don't know how many of them I will make and when it will come out.

Thank you for commenting bombardiere ! I don't exactly plan to match Manchou's scale, which is sometimes a little bit too big in my opinion. I BATed so far with the intention to be near the scale of Vnaoned's, Motokloss's, Ferox's and RaV's BATs. Maybe mine are too big for your taste  &mmm Anyway you may notice that many XIXth century french buildings have large windows and high floors compared to buildings of nowadays. A regular floor was commonly 3.5 meters high, because having a big amount of air inside was said to be more hygienic. Here are a few illustrations :

So, today I finally finished the second angle of my residential set : a grocery store combined with a small chinese takeway, both inspired by what I see daily in my district.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fnsm08.casimages.com%2Fimg%2F2016%2F10%2F04%2F%2F16100412403321771114533485.jpg&hash=185ece4b1baedfc2d683b45b50956a1b7892b405) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=16100412403321771114533485.jpg)

I plan to make two other 1X1 similar buildings to finish with this pack before I start nightligts, lotting and modding.

These are really excellent work, with the added (unintentional?) bonus that they should fit reasonably well in any European environment. As such, I'd be happy to take as many of this type of building as I can get.

I know I might be jumping the gun a little, but I think these would be best modded as CS buildings, since that's one area that's seriously lacking in content. Although it couldn't hurt to have some as Res also.

Keep up the great work  :thumbsup:

Wow, what a cute little set of buildings!  :thumbsup:

Keep up the great work. I especially like the rooftops, they have a really nice detailing and textures.

I might suggest to watch the green railings though, they seem a tad too bright like they have been freshly painted to stand out, doesn't seem in keeping with low wealth?

I look forward to seeing these progress. Thanks for sharing  ;D

Oh thanks a lot  $%Grinno$% I agree with you for the lack of CS w2w buildings of this size, so I will mod that (and the other angle model) both as RS and CS

@gn_leugim
Thanks again !

@reddonquixote
Thanks a lot  ;D About the railings, I guess you're quite right but in my town this type of low-wealth buildings have sometimes small amounts of fresh paint here and there. So, on both the models using this texture, I modified the railings to make it look like half-repainted, with a green part and a grey rusty part. A quite common situation I know about that can stand for months or even years when you have a hassle-free owner  %wrd

And thank you too  ::) To answer you, gn_leugim and mgb204, that "fit in any-euro environment effect" wasn't intentional at all, but it's good news I guess. It' not so true in my opinion but if you think so, well ok  ;D

I'm back here just to announce that I posted my first release on toutsimcities.com tonight. Two different STR stations, in full-HD , that slept too much time in my gmax-folder. Both with gloomy nightlights, for Maxis-night only. I made the read-me both in French and English  :) It is my very first upload so if you find anything that isn't right, tell me here and I will update it.

It's a good start and small railway stations are much needed.

As you seem to pay attention to details, I think you can still improve few things:

1. The overall textures are slighltly too dark, especially when using Gmax (for example, the roof of the station A).
2. The texture of the plateforms are stretched and it's noticable.
3. The texture black / white of the edge is too wide and stretched also

Don't hesitate to customize the textures by adding dirt, oil leaks... few details change the overall perception of a BAT.
Some details could be modeled as well to increase the "quality". And railway station are full of small details to be added (cables, shelter, benches, garbage...)

Regarding the LOTing, I notice some props from Vnaoned, that's good, I think you should consider only HD props, if you model HD BATs. You will find many HD French props done by VIP team and Citymax did a prop pack only with Railway stuff.

Factory BATs look nice. I would have the same comment regarding the tone of the texture, which is IMHO too dark.
Export the BATs and have a look in game to judge the colors. It always gives good feedbacks.

@matias93
Thank you for the nice comment  :) The stations are available since this morning, and the link that wasn't working before is now working. I will consider to upload my work on other exchanges in the future.

@kbieniu7
Thanks a lot my friend  :D It was the idea behind this factory set, that it could be used for various purposes, small back-wharehouses (which are common in fact), as well as large surfaces or whatever you want. There are also catwalks, and parts with various doors in preparation. Just eye-candy but I will consider to make a functionnal assemblage on a single lot too.

@Girafe
Your comments on my work are always welcome, and valuable  :) I guess you're quite right on the global darkness of my textures, and the streched ones on the platforms are kind of regrettable. I will try to avoid thoe kind of mistakes in the future. On station A in fact the roofing is supposed to be made of black tiles, which is quite uncommon I agree, but I thought it was suitable to increase the "rurality" of it (dark tiles are usually made of dyed concrete and cost less money).

Considering the lotting, I only used HD props on that (Motokloss's cars are HD too, if ou had a doubt on that). I'm actually making a bunch off re-lots for my personnal use so I know well the proppacks you mention here  :)

Well alright, I will pay more attention to the tone of the textures for the factory so  ;) Adding more details is also, always a good idea.

Back here just to wish to everybody a happy new year  :) as a gift I uploaded a new thing on Toutsimcities.com yesterday, a 1930's working-class pub designed to match FAR-2

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fnsm08.casimages.com%2Fimg%2F2016%2F12%2F30%2F%2F16123012440921771114737609.jpg&hash=6244eeaa5973aeaa7db987efda7e7c868b2adbec) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=16123012440921771114737609.jpg)

You can get it here : https://www.toutsimcities.com/downloads/view/3301 (https://www.toutsimcities.com/downloads/view/3301)  ;D

It was just a try basically, so please forgive that it can not perfectly fit into a wall-to-wall environnement. Also I am not convinced that designing it for FAR-2 was the best option as most of the FAR buildings match FAR-3. Still, it has nightlights for Maxis Night and it is full-HD. I made it a Landmark (with 3 C$ jobs and low plop cost) to aid the placement. The Read-me is in both French and English.

I cumulate long-term projects currently, it's not the best idea I guess. Yet an other one : I thought that there was not much cemeteries currently, so I started to design a modular one (very mineral and mushy, like most of the cemetreries in France).

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fnsm08.casimages.com%2Fimg%2F2016%2F12%2F30%2F%2F16123012514421771114737612.jpg&hash=8896eb6a47f842d679612392413986cc2c18d18d) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=16123012514421771114737612.jpg)

That preview is work-in-progress  ::) There are 8 diferent grave props showing here, it is not enough I guess so to avoid this ugly repetition feeling I started yesterday to bring this number to 20 (or even 25). The base texture will be changed. There will be a special release for that but those walls, gates, graves and many other things (not only related to Hades's kingdom  :D) will come in a prop pack so you can make whatever you want with it. And I promise, that will come out on the LEX also  :)

Greetings !

Hello there,

I have finished the sixth (and last) model of my workig-class res-pack an hour ago. So I may release them all very soon  ::) I'm not completely satisfied with the texture on the large wall in the bottom left hand corner. I'm searching for something similar with the opposed wall but different and bigger, that is not easy to find.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fnsm08.casimages.com%2Fimg%2F2017%2F01%2F18%2F%2F17011812175121771114780573.jpg&hash=af1d3921bcfb0db08ebcac3059d29609c9137e48) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=17011812175121771114780573.jpg)

But I still have a tougher issue with this pack. I can't find the way to program the two angles to grow in angles without the original Maxis LotEditor which never worked on my computer, even with every compatibility program. I'm on Win8 and I still had self-acting updates back then so I guess it explains everything  &sly

So some help about that would be very appreciated  :) I guess that Maxis LotEditor is the only tool that can accomplish that, or I missed something maybe ?

Great to see an update from you here, your modelling style is really something that resonates with me, I look forward to adding your buildings to my cities. I just love the details on the little shops below the apartments, quintessentially French, but something that would look right in most European locations too. :thumbsup:

Are you using sourced textures or making them yourself? A good solution would be to find a really large texture for the wall (old/stained concrete), that way you could use different parts of the texture on different surfaces to make the patterns more random. I also think right now the details are very out of scale (too large) to really fit right. It shouldn't take too much work in PS/GIMP to create a suitable texture with staining that can be reused many times without looking too repetitive. Actually, that wall reminds me of an end-terrace house I used to play football besides when I was a little kid.

As for the growing angles, I presume you mean the setting to make a lot grow on corners? There are a few LE features that are not available in PIM-X, usually the solution is to open the lot in iLives Reader, where you can manually edit the setting. This one is easy, find the Lot Configuration Exemplar, the property named "Required Roads" and enter either 0x08 - Normal, 0x09 - Left Corner or 0x0C for Right Corner.

I like this.  :thumbsup: Especially the backyard is something that pleases me. It is nice and often forgotten detail. In real life we often see the façade only, but in SC4 birdseye view it is important to character to backside too. :)

I agree that the "dirt" on the large grey wall is too prominent. You can do as MGB204 suggested and use a larger texture or better yet you can make the grime yourself. If you use Photoshop or GIMP you and get all kinds of brushes and use these to give effects on the base texture.

QuoteI can't find the way to program the two angles to grow in angles without the original Maxis LotEditor which never worked on my computer, even with every compatibility program

I am not sure what you mean with this, but if it as MGB204 suggested and you want set the road corners, then yes it is doable in PIM-X. It in the lot file and it is coded in numbers. You click the row and it allows you to change the number. I am at the work and I don't remember right number right, but it was something like 0x08 for centre, 0x09 for the left corner and 0x0C (10) for the right corner. (edit uhuh MGB204 got even this, but yes this can be done in the PIM-X and doesn't require iLives.)

These looks really good.  :thumbsup:

With a building like this, I would make a mirrored building too. This way different of the details of the buildings around the back yard will be seen.

As the other two pointed out, the textures on the back walls need a rework.
When in Photoshop or Gimp on top of base layer (concrete/plaster), add a dirt layer.
Then Add a alpha/mask layer to it. I would start with a mask that is black, then start with a paint brush, paint white on the back (white makes the layer show).
That way you can slow add dirt to your wall.

You can take a screen dump from max/gmax and add to the file as a seperate layer to help you see where the texture will go in the end.

On the brick texture try to downscale the textures to around 60-70 pro cent (0.6-0.7) of what it is now.

@mgb204 Thanks a lot  $%Grinno$% For texturing I use almost only photos that I shoot myself, commonly slightly modified, and simply applied. But using some photoshopping could be interesting. Also thank you very much for the modding trick

@bombardiere And thank you too for the compliment and modding trick  ;D By the way I found a satisfying texture for that wall.

@vester Thanks  ()stsfd() In fact I didn't thought about mirroring my stuff before, but that sounds interresting. The last model could be mirrored but solely if I highly modify it. For the moment it will come out in a single version with the 5 other models, but this upload would'nt mean the end of this kind of models from me  ::) Certainly not.

@kbieniu7 Thank ya my friend !

@Sciurus  ;D

@Schriefer Thank you  :)

I also have to thank Tarkus for moving this thread into TSC creations and Sciurus for integrating me into TSC Team  :bnn:

I just wanted to inform you that my building pack will come out very soon, I hope tomorrow evening. Thanks again to mgb204 and bombardiere for guiding me in the past modding issue :) I was improving some details on my models this morning but unfortunately the Gmax file of one of them (the one with a back building on the first images) got corrupted so I have to settle for a former export version which has not the best textures (different from what I showed). It is quite presentable still  /wrrd%&

Also, just to increase the hype about Sciurus' stations project, here are the few props I made for him today  ;D

It is a very nice model, however, I am concerned that the bottom storefront appears a little too flat; it doesn't have any apparent depth, and this is made more evident by the sire view, where it can be seen that only the pillars are modeled and the door in fact sits right at the front of the building model and is only textured in.

My only niggle, and it stands out only because the rest of the building seems to be so well modeled, especially the roof junk, which I like a lot. I know some of these details won't be fully apparent because of the way the game plays out (I usually play at Z4, where this stuff is visible but not particularly noticeable), but if you're not yet done exporting I figure it's worth mentioning.

Otherwise lovely work, and the props look great as well. Small details like ticket kiosks(?) make all the difference.

@matias93 I hope so  $%Grinno$% I rely on Sciurus' impressive productivity

@APSMS Thank you  :) I understand what you mean. I have in my BAT practice a dilemma between using planes for windows and showcases, and relying on that for pursuing a high level of details quite easily, forgetting about that relative flatness aspect, or modeling the inside as well and spending much more time on it, with much more texture needs and getting a "fake feeling" of a different nature at the end. It would be very hard for me, to catch some inside atmospheres I like by modeling the inside for real  /wrrd%& I prefer to model the inside most of the time, now that I roughly get BATing techniques into my head.

About the roof junk, from experience only the side metal "crests" of the zinc parts on the mansard windows are less visible in Z4  :) Thank you for your investment in my project's achievement !

@kbieniu7 Working on working on working on  $%Grinno$%

...Because now, I'm working full time for Sciurus :D I re-worked on a very old model of a railroad crossing keeper house, to make some variants. Made two this afternoon, I will make some more of them. That is a bargain, those things are found everywhere in France and it looks practically the same everywhere, besides that the building materials are not the same

In Sciurus' pack that will come in SD, but I will make HD versions for personnal use, which could be shared if someone wants them in HD  :) I'm also working on a much more massive railroad-related building currently, which will be part of our pack. It's not advanced enough to be shown.

I think a number of us would prefer HD if we had the choice. If you render the models the right way, it's possible to give the same IDs to the HD models as the SD ones. Then all the prop exemplars, lots etc can be used with either set of models.

What I sometimes do is model the walls, then add a plane for the floors.
To the floor I add some textures of some colorfull picture like this:
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.blogseitb.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2Fsites%2F31%2F2010%2F06%2FFraggle-Rock-group-225x300.jpg&hash=c96fa17663224f98889ffd63d34eafe94e4e5d2b)

(https://libwww.freelibrary.org/assets/images/explore/clutter.jpg)
As you only see part of the images and you see it on an angle, it add the illusion of more details than actually are.

Thanks to everybody for all the interesting comments and the overflow   :-[ of likes so far. That is great and encouraging  :thumbsup:

@Silur Thank you  ;D Work on that project decelerated a little bit on my part the last days, but we still have new ideas  ;)

@mgb204 Thank you again  $%Grinno$% We've made the choice to release all that in both HD and SD.

@Sciurus As we said  :)

@vester That is an interesting trick :) I've experimented it on a building model recently, in a more elaborated way (applying a colorfull texture on some panels inside a shop) and it is quite convincing  :thumbsup:

@Simmer2 Thank you  $%Grinno$%

Thanks to @kbienu7, who gave me the idea to add some switch towers to all our stuff. Here is the first one I made today, roughly based on the Châteaucreux's one in Saint-Etienne :

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fnsm08.casimages.com%2Fimg%2F2017%2F01%2F28%2F%2F17012801431321771114807119.jpg&hash=a2ba6f30780303359b0279d8436fe82ddd067ba0) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=17012801431321771114807119.jpg)

Not exported yet, so advices are welcome. I plan to make three or four different switch towers, next one will be based on Perrache's one in Lyon but if there is a particular switch tower you'd like to have with our pack I can also take one or two requests  :)

Yes it is very very very dirty :D
Maybe the textures, as we talked about them yesterday, are a bit too dark. But it's an opinion ! Maybe the black background make them darker too. Just a test in game to see if there's a difference.. :thumbsup:
Anyway, that's a great and useful building !

Indeed, dirty and grungy :D Great model!

Well, I have few ideas, if I could  $%Grinno$%

One of it would be maybe some relatively modern and (gentle speaking) architectonically simple switch tower, like these ones:
https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poste_d'aiguillage#/media/File:Montb%C3%A9liard_(25)_poste_1_a.jpg

http://i.skyrock.net/5861/33155861/pics/2574282587_small_1.jpg

Another idea is a switch tower from main station in Kraków, but it's a bigger one, so I'd post more pictures only if you're interested after making your other stuff ;)

@Silur Happy to see you appreciating so  :)

@mgb204 We have decided to release it less "rotten", but I keep those dirty concrete textures for personnal projects  ;)

@Sciurus Well we found agreement, so  :)

@kbieniu7 Thank ya ! Those are interesting proposals anyway, I like the idea of a modern switch tower, resembling to an airport control tower to some extent, I will work on that. The switch tower from Krakow is nice indeed, maybe I will recreate it later but I will certainly take some inspiration from it for an other model  :)

@Badsim Hi Badsim, well I've been reading your posts for long now also, without commenting, I really like your work like many of us, it is always very inspiring, full of ingenious ideas. Hearing someone say that my work makes this game interesting is anyway the best compliment I could receive  :thumbsup:

Volume 1 of my building pack is out and can be found here : https://www.toutsimcities.com/downloads/view/3303 (https://www.toutsimcities.com/downloads/view/3303)

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fnsm08.casimages.com%2Fimg%2F2017%2F02%2F08%2F%2F17020801412921771114832811.jpg&hash=9de4a901421a3718206531fd0041cff22789729a) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=17020801412921771114832811.jpg)

I decided to release the two angles separetely, certainly in a volume 2 with some new models, because it still needs some re-work, and people here waited too long in my opinion for such a small pack. Read-me is in both French and English, it lists the dependencies with links and I fully explain my (pro-anarchist  :D) copyright policy in it.

Also, as I'm working slowly on my prop-pack and cemetery project, I thought that it would be a good idea to show some of the small things that will come with it time to time. Here is a six-spots concrete "vespasienne" (public toilets for men). When I was a child it was still common to see those things along the streets and in the parks, but almost all of them were removed.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fnsm08.casimages.com%2Fimg%2F2017%2F02%2F08%2F%2F17020802433721771114832868.jpg&hash=43828a01a7510d0cadd07f1906654a764a4a8cc4) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=17020802433721771114832868.jpg)

(I added some easter eggs on it, like on some of my other models. Quite precise references and certainly too small to be recognized, so I don't know if anyone could list them, but well  :D)

As always great work you are presenting to us.  :thumbsup:

One thing: The wires on the 1st and 3rd (lower left) stands out a bit to much.
The look very black. Either make the more grey or make them thinner.
I know its tempting to make some really black. Nothing is showing up this black when not in the shade.

My guess is they are on a seperate layer ?
If so you could also turn down the opacity to 60-80 % (Gimp or Photoshop)
or
Selected them add a layer mask. Reselect the selection, invert the select. Grow the select 1 or 2 px.
Now select the commune area between the layer mask (in PS you would ctrl+shift+alt click)

Now you fill the area in the alpha mask with a tone of grey.
(before I would do this, I would make an empty layer and apply the layer mask to, that way you can pick up the selection from this layer).
Now you can try to make a few different textures with different tone of grey.

Technical, but you picked up my last suggestion with easy I see.
Like the dirt on the roof tiles below the chimney in the 4th picture.

I will convert these to CS$ as there is a need too. ;) And probably adjust some stats to suit my play style.

I have a lot of French BATs in my plubin so I am interested to see how these will fit that environment. Size, growth stage etc. :)

What is more, those buildings have the right vibe to recreate the auto parts street of my city (https://www.google.cl/maps/@-33.4538683,-70.6473599,3a,75y,12.58h,90.53t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sRyp0gh6tiV5-cvUKA0nXlw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=es-419) (well, they don't look totally alike, but the style, condition and programmes are really similar).

Luckily the page warned me about Bombardiere's post, I was precisely suggesting to make them CS$, but in any case, they can also work great as IM anchors, it would be great to see those versions released too!

I love these small variations in the colors of the facades which give the impression that the paint has faded faster on some parts of the facade, especially on the first.

Looks nice  ;)

Something that MDer will surely appreciate is the possibility to that the base texture of the LOT is matching the sidewalk in the plugin folder. It allows to have uniformity in between sidewalk system and LOTs which is highly appreciated by MDers.

The idea is to have a flat props (which was modded in a way that the texture was removed and will automatically take the texture from the sidewalk installed in plugin folder). I am far from understanting the full process but our friend Vortext could help  ;)

I totally agree with this idea ! The thing is, that in the LE is to take a Maxis default sidewalk texture already replaced by the new sidewalk texture ? I don't know if I'm understandable...

For basic models there is no need to do anything special here. Just use one of the Maxis Sidewalk base textures on the lot and provided a suitable override is installed, this happens automatically. However if you need such flat-plane 3D models (RKT0) for the purpose, I have a bunch you can use.

Fantastic work! Your attention to the last detail is stunning. The electric (or telephone) wires are a great touch! And the textures you use look really good. In my humble opinion they're almost perfect, I like the faded colours and the dirt. It makes everything look more realistic. Also the window textures seem real, but I think they look too flat compared to the rest of the building. Do you model the frames? If you don't, I would consider modelling them, and if you do, they should be deeper. What do you think?  &Thk/(
As manga rivotra, I love "Le Kiosque". It really catched my eye the first time I saw it. And the abandoned restaurant is a great idea perfectly executed.

Your buidings make me think of this  :D:

@vester Thank you Vester  ;D Concerning the wires in fact it is usually extruded splines, because I have a lot of time to lose. You are quite right about the general shine of it on this model, I used the same texture for these wires through all of my work since a while without thinking about that. Image editing is far more convenient or this kind of things, I started learning more about it. Thanks to you (and to some others also !) for guiding me to this eolution of practice  :thumbsup:

@Sciurus Thank you again Guillaume  :thumbsup: I've noted also that my wor goes quite well with yours.

@bombardiere Thank you bomardiere  ;D Well I'm happy also, that those fit your needs.

@matias93 Thank you matias93, also for that Google maps link  ;D It's always nice to discover some other urban ambiances  :popcorn: I will consider to make a C$ add-on to go with these four models soon, that should have been made before.

@Tyberius06 Now I'm pleased to satisfy the other's tastes  ;D

@manga rivotra Thank you  ;D I'm happy to please the people.

@FrankU Thanks to you also FrankU  ;D

@GirafeThank you Girafe  ;D By the way I did like mgb204 said, the more simple way, normally it adapts to any sidewalk mod.

@romuladillo Thank you romualdillo  $%Grinno$% And thanks for that GIF, it's a nice reference. I'm happy to read someone mentionning the textures because I spent quite a lot of time on them. Most of it is from photos of mine, so indeed the windows are real  :D, on those four models it's simply edited photos applied on planes. I changed my mind about this method quite recently so now I preferentially model the frames and also the inside.

@vortext Thank you ! I will try to share my models more rapidly in the future, I still have many things waiting for the final touch.

Today I made, let's say a "reinterpretation" of a small mattress manufactory located at the rue Ravier in the South part of Lyon. There are not much interesting stuff in this district but the name of the company sounded so surrealistic ("Matelas Univers", "Universe Mattresses" in English) that I wanted to reproduce it. I still have bigger projects in the making but this one could come out very soon as a C$ and Indsutrial 1X2 lot. I didn't exported it yet so advices are welcome  ;)

The dark, rugged walls are completely intended to seem dark and rugged as it is "mâchefer" (I could'nt find any accurate translation to english  :-[), which is an ancestor of concrete composed of lime, ashes from coal or even from waste and sometimes a little bit of sand. It's a very common material in the buildings of my region from 1880 to 1930 more or less, and Lyon is claimed by some historians, also because of its extensive use of rammed earth in architecture for centuries, to be one of the birthplaces of modern concrete. I took my mâchefer textures in this street : https://www.google.fr/maps/@45.7681783,4.8728004,3a,75y,214.46h,88.57t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1shS9RIoY3m6jUGec_aJc5PA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 (https://www.google.fr/maps/@45.7681783,4.8728004,3a,75y,214.46h,88.57t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1shS9RIoY3m6jUGec_aJc5PA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656)

@Schriefer Thank you Schriefer  :) I have not much virtue with this particular roof, it's simply a slightly darkened texture I found on textures.com a while ago.

@Sciurus Thanks Guillaume  ;D You may understand what I mean if you look at some pictures from the last entry of my MD  ;) I see what you mean about the background, it's true that this uniform black background changes, to some extent, the general feeling on the models. I always feel like they look nicer on that neutral background, it's kind of annoying.

@korver Thank you too korver  ;D

@Simmer2 Thank you  ;D

It's full-HD as usual. I made three different versions : C$ Growable in every tileset, Landmark without jobs and Landmark with I-M jobs. Feel free to re-lot it the way you like and to share your re-lot anywhere you want :) Read-me is in both French and English, there are no dependencies needed. Unfortunatelly I wasn't careful about the depth of the shed, so it doesn't fit the more common sidewalk width standard. Sorry for that  &mmm

@kbieniu7 Well, I imagine that sleeping on those mattresses certainly drives you to universe-revealing dreams  :D Thank you by the way !

Just a quick update about my upcomming prop-pack. As I said, a few weeks ago, it will include around 20 graves, with around 40 other props which will be used in some other forthcomming projects (including my modular cemetery, and also a small pack of early 20th century suburb houses). There's still two fence props and a small guinguette (a small outdoor restaurant usually found on wharfs) to do and it will be it :)

I'm quite happy with the small hearse, which was my first attempt in vehicle creation. I'm not sure to include the telephone pylons in the pack, there are not really a success to me, I don't really know how to make them easily usable for players.

@Silur Oh, thanks ! I'm happy to know that these props could fit to other environments according to you, it was still very (to much ?) french to me. By the way from the few images you showed here and there, I love your work  ;D Feels like something quite unexplored by MDers. You don't have a MD somewhere already ?

Today, just an even smaller update, the twelve new props I made from Monday to today, next step is my BATed unicellular amoebae project. On ST @matias93 observed that mausoleums were'nt yet an explored topic. So I made one, slightly a recreation of a noticable one found in a small cemetery near my home. I plan to make an other big mausolea but I'm still looking for inspiration  :) Following an other suggestion @matias93 did, I made two small devices of those stacked, public-housing-like sarcophagi.

@Simmer2 Thanks  :)

@korver Thanks you too ! I'm really curious to see how my work could be used by other players  ;D

@vortext Well I made some more mausoleums (two or three, I can't remember) so I hope these will please you too  ;)

@Silur Take your time to publish it nicely so  :)

I got some advice on Simtropolis about some of my textures being too dark, it's true that this is still a recurring defect in my work and others already mentioned it. 'll try to do better, but yet unfortunately it's no more possible to fix that on the concerned props as I can't find some of the original models and the keeper house gmax file got corrupt  :-[ I made some basic mistakes in the first exports so I've been exporting this very same model several times, I guess it's an explanation for that corruption.

Anyway I just have to datpack these props (82 now !) and it will come out. As soon as possible  :)

So as the props are finished since tomorrow I came back to that old factory puzzle ! It's moving forward quickly  ;D I will add to that one or two wall props, filler lots, make it clean and presentable. It's pure eye-candy without jobs for now. Here are some previews ;

That's a brilliant idea making that style of industrial building modular :thumbsup:  The modelling and texturing looks very good.  The only odd thing (and maybe its just me) is the sloped tile roofs are super clean, but the flat roof is super grungy.  It's great as-is, but maybe more grunge or a gradient or something on the tile roof would help  ()what()

@noahclem Thank you  ;D

@Sciurus Thanks again Guillaume  ;)

@911Diva Thank you  ;D

@Simmer2 Thanks again !  :thumbsup:

@c.p. Thanks c.p.  ;D Well, I did an alternate version with a less grungy roofing as ou will see lower in this post.

@Simcoug Thanks !  ;D

@Vizoria Certainly I am as simple as you as this type of industrial devices pleases me a lot, but irl  ;) The sad thing is that this type of buildings are slowly disappearing, as it has no historical value and as it covers huge areas in towns, replacing them with real estate programs make astronomical capital gains  &mmm

@Tyberius06 Thanks !  ;D I'd like to see that !

My prop pack is finally available, you can get it here : http://www.toutsimcities.com/downloads/view/3311 (http://www.toutsimcities.com/downloads/view/3311)

Many thanks go to @Akallan who datpacked it for me. I will provide a personnal lotting with custom overlays, but for the moment I prefer to finish other projects. Feel free to make your own lotting and share it if yo want, I would'nt mind for sure  ::)

As said I changed the grungy roofing on gate n°2, it's better I think. I would like to know if you prefer this one or if the former roofing was better  ;)

I also added a third version of my railroad crossing keeper house to the two others in the railroad pack still in the making with @Sciurus, this time it's abandonned and completely walled to prevent squatters from entering in. I commonly feel disgusted towards this type of practices irl, but eh, I try to reproduce real life in SC4, I have to show its cruelty as well...

Oh yes, this is a huge improvement! Now this will not stand out too much anymore, which is a very important quality for a modular building set. Well done!  :thumbsup:

And very good work on the keeper's house, it indeed looks very realistic (albeit sad)!

On the Maison du garde-barrière, turn down the saturation, my best would be around 70-80 pro cent of the current texture.

In general what I do when trying to get the saturation is to open a photo in Photoshop.
Then use the pick color tool and see what the saturation is compared to a rendering of my bat.

In general your bats tend to be a bit over saturated, but beside that.....

Great work.  &apls

Like the modular approach. One question how does the shadows plays along. shadow on the next building.

@praiodan Thanks  $%Grinno$%

@vester Than you ! In the early, unshowed steps of this project I had indeed some issues with the shadows, I made a base piece with two "dents" so when assembled there was a shadow one in two. Each "dent" now is a single prop, only the more elaborated front pieces are double, it shows a shadow only in one view and they stay "logical" to me as they stand from higher walls. So shadow issues are cleared in my opinion.

About the keeper house, I desatureted the textures more or less following your tip and it's better I think :

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fnsm07.casimages.com%2Fimg%2F2017%2F05%2F07%2F%2F17050707512621771115025199.jpg&hash=c69781573d11645872069eacf72e18e18f82776e) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=17050707512621771115025199.jpg)

@noahclem Thanks  ;)

Just a quick update about the puzzle factory, to show the few more pieces I made :

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fnsm07.casimages.com%2Fimg%2F2017%2F05%2F07%2F%2F17050707340621771115025184.jpg&hash=96e644c5512732122c8f924bc67f6bc3240ed157) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=17050707340621771115025184.jpg)

In fact modeling is finished, so the only steps left ahead are adding some fillers and put everything in a MML. I wasn't able to find any tutorial, unfortunately  &mmm So I'm asking you, where can I find this type of information ? By the way I'm still hesitating about what base texture to use with all this. It looks far better to me with this particular texture from @vortext, but it would make the whole thing much more difficult to mix with all the other filler pieces available here and there, which use almost always the same maxis concrete (the light one).

This is coming along really nicely! Though, one more time I'd like to grump a little on a high level. Maybe you could use a more seamless texture on the loading rack pieces. The darker area around the top left corner is rather prominent and with a high repitition of this piece, it might be a little distracting. Otherwise, as I said, well done.  :thumbsup:

It is found at the place where nobody ever looks - in the readme file of the first MML release that I made back then. ;)

I missed the whole thread, but your BATs are very, very nice. Especially I LOVE the abandoned keeper house (and well - luckily stones can´t prevent people from squatting, yeah!  ;D)  &apls

And the factory is also a gem, I would only suggest to make also a gate for STR, as often industries had access to rails.
I personally love vortext´s textures, and I would like to see such an old building with cobblestones around. As a huge fan of the IRM I would say, it´s not too difficult to make a matching lot with different textures, if someone really needs but I would prefer an older look here.

Sorry but I feel very tired currently so individual responses will come later  /wrrd%&

I just pass by quickly to keep tied my BAT threads in every forum, just to show yet another project - not to slow down the modular factory which is still in progress, I take into consideration your suggestions, @fantozzi, @praiodan and @carlfatal   ;)

I started to make a first attempt in reproducing a typical design of early-20th century working-class housing complexes (typically called "corons" in french, but I couldn't find any equivalent word in English) The original :

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fnsm07.casimages.com%2Fimg%2F2017%2F05%2F11%2F%2F17051111483721771115035229.jpg&hash=a3375fdb503e89de6509d85938e6f7bfa711bc39)

And then my reproduction :

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fnsm07.casimages.com%2Fimg%2F2017%2F05%2F11%2F%2F17051111483721771115035230.jpg&hash=fc61d190ddf5d4aa761f0a07673b9f801f0fc5b6) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=17051111483721771115035230.jpg)

It's so simple, it's just the perfect thing to be declined in many ways, probably including diags and FAR  :) So I would be able to create complete "cités ouvrières" to be placed next to the factories  ::)

Nice work. I LIKE it.  :thumbsup:

The colors is a bit of, Not sure how !?!

BTW:

Maybe add width to your image tags:
[img width=360]http://nsm07.casimages.com/img/2017/05/11//17051111483721771115035229.jpg[/img]

Result:

That way people can click on the image to get the full size.
You will need to clean out your code, not just copy it from your image host server:

[URL=http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=17051111483721771115035230.jpg][IMG]http://nsm07.casimages.com/img/2017/05/11//17051111483721771115035230.jpg[/img][/URL]

Hope you can see what you need to remove.

Great choice of building. I'd say the colours are quite a bit over-saturated though, both in terms of the RL image as well as the game palette. Maybe go a bit lighter with the colours?

Keep it up  :thumbsup:

@vester Thank you ! And thanks as well for the tip about the image, for sure it makes the message more readable  ;)

@reddonquixote Thank you  ;D I've been hesitating towards the roofing's color and that was still more or less an experiment. I will make it a bit lighter and de-saturated

@vinlabsc3k Thank you  ;D I think that it could blend well with Mbear's work,  but I'd rather de-saturate it a little bit

@FrankU Thank you ! As I said it needs texture re-work  ;)

@Silur Thanks  ;D

@Simmer2 Thank you  ;D I've in fact never really noticed such a thing, I didn't knew about that, that's interesting to know

I've uploaded two new releases today, the second part of my low-weatlh pack (you might have seen a preview on Simtropolis last sunday) and also two early-20th century suburban houses, first volume of a "secret" project of working-class houses and cités ouvrières. I've copied a link for both of them in my releases repertory at the very beginning of this topic. This repertory looks quite clumsy for the moment, I'll try to make it better and put images like some do here  ;)

@Silur Thank you again  $%Grinno$% I'm very glad it pleases somebody to this extent  ;D

Quick update about a quickly-done thing (it surprised me, I did it from A to Z in like 3 hours only). I was sad about the definitive loss of this small elevated-road skin bridge @Manchou did years ago. Like many off his unpublised work, it was probably lost in some hard disk issues, he said me recently  /wrrd%&

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fnsm07.casimages.com%2Fimg%2F2017%2F06%2F12%2F%2F17061212594721771115089911.jpg&hash=670714b45260fa9eeb8c0bb2535f6dc1589aebf9) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=17061212594721771115089911.jpg)

So I made my own as an ersatz :) The rounded stones textures come from different sources so I tried to keep it coherent, I think it's fine now. It's not exported yet, I just wanted to be sure it can properly work as a semi-underground single prop as @Glenni's eyecandy bridges appear to have been modeled this way. So, if you think I'm doing it wrong, please tell me !

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fnsm07.casimages.com%2Fimg%2F2017%2F06%2F12%2F%2F17061212594721771115089910.jpg&hash=a2dbebcc94c55da27ff7556190bd549d4cc56c9a) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=17061212594721771115089910.jpg)

Off course, it is not centered and the light grey part is supposed to be covered with NAM elevated road (and not glitching with it I hope, normally the LODs are properly made).

That road texture from Manchou was awesome, forgot about it  &Thk/(

This new model looks good. Textures are too greenish / blueish, try to unsaturate them. I think you can add a bump map / more bump for the stones  ;)

Very nice!   :thumbsup:
Like eggman said, a 'pack' of these (maybe a red brick texture) would go a long way in sprucing up our towns and cities.  Correct me if i'm wrong, but this should work as a L1 (7.5m) overpass as well... the bottom half of the model will just be covered up by the ground, but it should still look right.

I love these, and I'll get lots of use out of them  &apls

With your second one, bump maps don't work at all in gmax, so to fake it I would add a bit more contrast to the texture, then desaturate and then give the mid-tones and highlights a slightly more red & magenta hue to negate the greenish hue

I like your style and that these come from specific real life environment. A big plus for HD  :thumbsup: And another plus for catering for grungy low wealth. :) Many Batter focus in shiny skyscraper or fancy classical buildings and while these are great additions, I love to see more down to earth Bats too. ;)

The factory is my favourite, because I can use it many SC4 city styles.

I haven't been playing my French city for months, but I will download your Bats for side street besides of the Hausmanian boulevards.

However, as some other have pointed, your previews show your models being very dark. SC4 palette is very light and desaturated.  Some have speculated that is it because Maxis was based in Californian sun. :D

@praiodan Thank you !

@eggman121 Thanks  ;D In fact going into a modular option with that is really a good idea. I was thinking for a while about making modular "skin-things" to bring together several  elevated rail viaducts into large banks like there are many around my home : https://www.google.fr/maps/@45.7463059,4.8368644,105a,35y,180h,39.47t/data=!3m1!1e3 (https://www.google.fr/maps/@45.7463059,4.8368644,105a,35y,180h,39.47t/data=!3m1!1e3) Or here : https://www.google.fr/maps/@45.770414,4.8606811,129a,35y,270h,39.46t/data=!3m1!1e3 (https://www.google.fr/maps/@45.770414,4.8606811,129a,35y,270h,39.46t/data=!3m1!1e3)

Something like that could come with a modular bridge, but I have many things to finish before... Another hypothetcal idea.

@brick_mortimer Thanks  ;D

@feyss Thank you !

@Simmer2 Thank you too !

@Girafe Thank you ! Yes this mod seemed awesome... But now it's lost. Better to forget about it.

In fact there aren't any bump map here. It looked good to me so I've exported it like that but you should tell me whatyou think  ;)

@Simcoug Thank you ;D About the (possibly) modular option, read the response I wrote for eggman. Hypothetical for the moment so. It can be used for 7.5m holes as well but the arch becomes very low.

@Akallan Thank you my friend  $%Grinno$% I'll see about a modular option...

@mattb325 Thanks ! I've exported it without modification and it feels good settled into a proper context to me, but you should tell me  ;)

@bombardiere Thank you  ;D I've always loved decaying places.

Please note : As I said the fisrt bridge over the railway is Manchou's, it's lost and it would'nt be published

So I've exported it without any modification and it feels rather good to me... Happily the LODs are good and the stone parapets swallow the NAM railing nicely  :satisfied:

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fnsm07.casimages.com%2Fimg%2F2017%2F06%2F20%2F%2F17062002045421771115103267.jpg&hash=acab78526024526a674381d2edac997e120edcbc) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=17062002045421771115103267.jpg)

And I also made most of the icons :

Everything is lotted so the last part then is the two prop families for the basic piece, it has 3 alternates in total now (Basic piece, I mean the one without extras - except for the catwalk part which has 3 alternates as well). And then the MML. But the fact is that I have still many other things concerning SC4 to finish apart from this puzzle factory, and some will become quite urgent... (Yes, I have real mandatory deadlines for some. But that's a secret !) Added to that I will certainly be employed in september, consequently I will have much less time to dedicate to all this  /wrrd%&

As I quickly evoked on Simtropolis, to be honest I'm familiar with some depressive symptoms (but don't worry  :) I have easy-access good company now). The thing is I'd like to give the final push to this long project, I now how much of a procrastinator I can be and yet I'm quite tired of it. I may be presomptous, but if someone is ready to make the prop families and the MML that would be really, really nice.

(echoing voice) Wow, that place has been abandonned for so long...

Sorry  :-[ It seems that I somehow, forgot at first to also update the topic here... Then I noticed but just kept going... It's so time consuming to update the same subject three times each time  :'(

Obviously, for the upcomming news there will be a revival here  :-[

I thought that I didn't make enough of these small fictionnal angles yet - there's still some inspiration to draw from these parts of Lyon  ::) This is WIP :

I have to say, lotting isn't the best therapy. Eating fruits and spent as much time as possible 'en plein air' did work for me. Winston Churchill called his depressions 'the black dog'.  Wish you the best to train your black dog so he becomes obedient to your commands. And thanks for the exciting bats.

I guess no one can ever completely exorcise a depressive trait - our liberty lies here in a matter of attitude, indeed. Not a sickness or even a real enemy to the point I am now, kind of a partner. As long as it doesn't forbids me to lead my existence like I intend to lead it. And there's a meme as an interim conclusion :

I'm almost done with this - I only needs a few more details and I'll export it and probably share it with an other small BAT I forgot somewhere for a long time.

Beautiful model!  &apls
I like the added floor and the fact you can see the old roofline clearly.
So realistic for older houses  ;D

@brick_mortimer Thanks for the kind words  :thumbsup:

Now presenting for the first time here I think, what will most probably be my next upload - a 4X4 angle early 20th century factory, approximately from the 20's, inspired by the numerous similar ones that were still standing around my home in Lyon, rive gauche du Rhône, in the outskirts of the center and in the suburbs.

Lots of them have been torned down in the past decades when the developers started to realize that replacing them with cheap 8-10 floors apartment buildings was far more gainful than using them as warehouses. So that one is kind of an hommage, let's say  /wrrd%&

(https://nsm09.casimages.com/img/2018/06/30//18063005012021771115786172.jpg) (https://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=18063005012021771115786172.jpg)

It will come out with one or two 1X4 extras based on the long shed on the right as Tyberius asked for it - which is a little wider than 1 tile, so it's part of the model.

On the texture works.
You could try to play around with the layer blending modes (https://cdn2.photoblogstop.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Blend_Modes_Groups-web1.jpg) (Photoshop) / Layer Modes (Gimp)
On The white washout layer at the top of the roof tiles I would use one of the options in the group starting with Overlay, Soft light....

Your attention to detail is very impressive.  :o
The missing windows and grafitis more or less marked in function of their support (glasses, concrete or wood) adds a realism in my opinion rarely reached.
It's really beautiful!  :thumbsup:

Also Vester, I guess that you meant that these smudges were too light ? I lightened a bit all of the red rooftile parts and I guess it helps a bit, let me know what you think.
...Because I was considering about exporting it right now or the next night. I did all the nightlights which are not the best I did so far to be honest, but they're pretty ok in my opinion  &Thk/(

I like the textures. I totally believe they are on your computer for decades, weathered down by the pollution of your CPU and waterdamaged by stack overflow... ok, I really need to stop that  :D. You get the point. Well done!

@Seaman Lol $%Grinno$%

Anyway, it's here, in HD, and nightlighted (for Maxis night only). It includes a 1X4 extra as I said, and it was so quickly done that I could probably make some other by-products with it. I'll consider that in the future, possibly. It requires no dependency by the way  :satisfied:

Hi. Before making a resource pack from all the models I made for my modular factory (so Tyberius can use it freely  :bomb:), I thought that I'll finally finish this modular cemetery I had started a long, long time ago. I totally re-made the lots, so it looks better I guess.

Six or seven pieces so far - and I'll make some moar, no problem.

In general it looks very good, but there is one 'but' - why most of the tombstones look like after passing destructive vandals? The idea of the details is very good! The details are very precise and this can be congratulated  :thumbsup:

Hi !! "Sketchy Towers" finally available  :satisfied:

It comes in three lots (two 3X2 and one 3X3 that is the actual reproduction of the sc3k original model). Hope you like it. Link here : https://www.toutsimcities.com/downloads/view/3355 (https://www.toutsimcities.com/downloads/view/3355)

(https://nsm09.casimages.com/img/2019/07/16//19071610214321771116315919.jpg) (https://www.casimages.com/i/19071610214321771116315919.jpg.html)

There will be a backup on Simtropolis soon but for now I'm too lazy to re-make the dependency list (be careful btw, it's a bit different than my usual one this time). So don't download it twice, the first time I did that I had so many downloads on both that it made me wonder if some people believed it was two different things. So... It will be the exact same models and lots ;)
