Super, you look after the details well...
It's a pretty good update!

I would really like to live in very peaceful picture 3!

TheTeaCat

Most of the superlatives that i wished to use have already been used. If this is how you've started I cannot wait to see the fully developed region. The care and attention to detail is something that i wish i had but i always want to see buildings develop so i never get around to doing the "details" as you have done, so well!

Wonderful pictures, full of things i can look at again and again and as I said before lots of extremely useful info too.
you most certainly deserve this

Looking forward to your next update

That was an amazing lesson in terraforming and texturing. There is so much talent here at SC4D, and that's one of many reasons I now call it home. Thanks for sharing your work.

Until next time...

Ennedi, you are a genius. The sculpting you have done to the terrain ranks up there with Jeroni's and Dedgren's. This is definitely one to watch and will most likely be a favorite of mine. I like it so much I gave it a rating of 5! Great work and can't wait to see more!!

The pictures with the valley and also the one with the cliffs near the sea are phenomenal, nothing short of breath-taking. Great stuff.

Nisha

Spectacular scenery you've created, Ennedi. I can't wait to see more.

Pavle

Wonderful pictures!
Amazing nature pics. I love your forests, really realistic and beautiful.
Also, the dam and its neighbourhood looks imperessive. &apls

Hello my friends, welcome to Shosaloza!

bat: Thank you, I'm glad you like my pictures!

Starmanw402007: nice to see you, there will be many updates here  :D

bat56: Thank you, I try to make something worthy of plopping your boats  :D

TheTeaCat: Thank you very much! I also want to see the developed region quickly, but I will not make some preparationat the beginning, every change will be very difficult - in fact I'm a lazy man  :D

Jmouse: Very nice to see you again, Joan, it will be pleasure for me if somebody after reading my information will make the same (or even better) thing in an easier way  ;D

ryalmighty1: Thank you very much, I'm not sure if my work is  worthy of such nice words...

nedalezz: Hello again, it's very nice you like these pictures, I will try to make more

Nisha: Hello Nisha, here is more  :D

Pavle: Thank you very much and good luck for you too!

I marked my cities in the same manner as other people playing Shosaloza - from A1 to D4. Belmont is C1 - see below:

I should make a better introduction to the whole region, but I was hurried - I want to show you the development, and preparation needs a lot of time in my case  :D But I will improve it in next updates.

OK, let's go to the tourist trip to Belmont. We start in the city B1 (I haven't any name for it yet), near the dam, and go to the east.
We saw a lake in B1, of course there is the second half of it in Belmont  ;)

A rail line along the lakeside - it is well known in Shosaloza because of great views

Our first stop: a nice tourist place at the lakeside. You can rent a boat or a plane here

There are also other attractions here - exclusive tennis courts and Kelly's Escort (very nice place  ;))

A view back - we came from this side

We can go through the short tunnel and stop at the viewpoint

But what can we see from this viewpoint?
See below  :D

And here is my surprise for you, Pat

OK, we go uphill
Belmont is in a very early stage of development, but it has main roads, railways and rail stations, and utilities. You can see the general plan on pictures below:

The side valley to the right (South): there will be a suburban area here, without farms, for richer citizens. the road goes to the city C2 - there is the highest mountain in the region there, it will be a real challenge to make anything in it  :D

...And the side valley to the left (North)

The road to the North goes to the other region. Many other cities and mountains are there (Matterhorn? Mont Blanc? I don't know exactly, but I think there is not far to Chamonix from here  ;))

Now look at this rail line. There is quite large difference between levels of the main and side valley. I wasn't be able to make a turn right to the central station, and in the same place turn left to the north.
So I had to use a special solution, well known to Swiss railway engineers. A rail line goes into the tunnel, turns right making a loop 270o and goes to the north. And I was be able to make a connection with the central station without any problem.

Now some random shots of the main station and utilities area (thanks a lot Swamper for your train generators  :D )

A suburban/agricultural area in the north valley (a city development started here)

I must say I am completely unexperienced in making farms, this is my first experiment. Please tell me what do you think.

And at the end something I was started from: a cemetery.
Why a cemetery?  :D Making various experiments I plopped a PEG Memorial Park Entrance and then I wasn't be able to remove it. So I had to build a cemetery in this place - it is a good place, but I had to change my project and rotate everything by 90o

That's all for today, technical comments tomorrow - too much pictures for one message
See you again

wow, mega update Ennedi  Rail line and steel viaduct between moutain looks great. I like this :) IMO, You build walls on along road in mountains needless, it would look natural better ;)
I see, that you has not completed else suburbian areas, I will wait impatiently.

TheTeaCat

Wonderful update.  &apls &apls

Excellent pictures and many of them -I like that

Wonderful rail building skills with the right turn very well executed. I think I agree with Danthe re: the walls on the mountain roads. I realise that you are trying to be true to life but they seem overpowering maybe with a different/darker surface maybe so they blend in more ( my 2cents worth :D)

A well deserved cuppa being brewed ()stsfd()

Thank you, TTC, I agree with you  Why I didn't see it earlier ??
My machine crashed 2 times during this work  :D (fortunately it isn't anythig caused by SC4, it seems one driver creates a conflict - but I must do something with it)
