Hi everyone,

The region I've been working on for a while is called Pravlovszk:

It's a plain, where several rivers run into each other, with some hills to the north-west (hand-made, they will be improved later as I make progress). It is a little similar to Budapest (capital of Hungary). The centre of the region is the city of Mitszenszk, an industrial centre, which will have an extensive agglomeration of smaller towns and villages. I expect the total population to be about 600.000, but that is not sure. I'd like it to give an Eastern European impression.

Here's a part of Mitszenszk I've completed already:

Hope you like it.

P.S.: this is my first post on the forum ::)

Nice work Dan!  Its great to see you back!

I'm currently planning on expanding my region.

Here's a large pic:

A legend is included to the left of the region in the picture.

Disclaimer:  Those long black lines are a bug caused by running SC4 at such a high resolution.

Here's a shot of the city I'm currently building:

My days here are numbered. It's been great and I've had a lot of fun, but I've moved on to bigger and better things.

There's really no such thing as a "final version" of my mods, as I['m constantly finding things to improve upon, and uploading the results as an update to existing files on the STEX. (See links to development thread and STEX files in my sig)

As a rather extreme example, take the hatchback. It started off as Maxis' regular luxury car model - then I shortened the back end and did a few accompanying tweaks to make the changes look good; I also shortened the hood, and changed the headlights and taillights. Since I changed it so much I'll have to create a new headlight model for it but that won't be hard at all.

Most of my tweaks are ironing out a few minor wrinkles that can't be easily seen in-game, but it's my intention not just to iron out the wrinkles, but to dry-clean, starch, thoroughly iron and custom-fit these mods so that there's a mod for everyone to enjoy.
My days here are numbered. It's been great and I've had a lot of fun, but I've moved on to bigger and better things.

For some years now I play SC4.
Because of the enormous amount of Custom Content and ideas shown on this site I always get distracted form one of the most simple, but awarding, goals of this game: growing skyscrapers. I never had a city developed that far that I had a real skyscraper area.
So now I really try hard to reach this goal in a new region. Please don't distract me too much! $%Grinno$%

It starts with an empty area of 16 mid size tiles.
I called it Welsum; after a very small village near my hometown. Why? Just for the fun of it, one of the other really important goals of this game.

Here is Welsum. Boring, isn't it?

Then I filled it up with a real "first year's players" grid, with only one deviation: the two "central" axes that cross in the second tile from south and the second from west.

Still quite boring, right?

Then I added the rivers: all plopped Jeronij Canals. Here and there I added some bridges.
It becomes more interesting now, or not?

Now I added the Highways. Mostly sunken ones. I never used the RHW, I didn't feel like them.

And then the city building started.
This is how the region looks now.

One of the main goals is also to break the grid, play with it and use it for my own purposes. I hope there will be some interesting developments.

I have no details for now.
A CJ would be too much for me, so I show the stuff here.
