Splendid work, I like much the motorway and way RHW.
The business district is very successful and the suburbs too .

Impatient to see the continuation !
Province of Acadia since 2020
Province of Zillerthal (2014)
Port Aux Captes (2009-2011)
Province of Trieste (2006-2010)
Since SC4D 2007-2022

Nice city you got there! The explanation why the RHW-is stragely painted is verry funny  :D

Jjune: Thank you!
Schulmanator: Thank you aswell!
Warconstruct: Thanks, the continuation starts now  :)
Maarten: Thanks, the explanation is a bit unrealistic, as roads are usually not painted to have a specific colour, but so what  ::)

Chilcombe: Update 3: Askerswell, and it's inner-interchange dwellers

One of the loops of the T-interchange in Askerswell, and people living within, and just out of it.

More dwellers inside the interchange

More dwellers, this picture also shows the sunken road that gives the inside-people the chance to get out of their enclosed community.

Fountain Park, outside of the Interchange. I'm so sorry I left that zone in  &mmm

The Askerwellian Highgrove.

Downtown Askerswell, showing the University Hospital, the tallest building in Askerswell

Just outside the loop, some nice European suburbs

The T-interchange cuts through both sides of the inner-loop community, fortunately an overpass allows them to switch loops.

Close-up

BONUS: The T-interchange without development (and no streets)

BONUS: An on-offramp near the Askerswellian border, that gives full access to Chilcombe City.

I hope you enjoyed today's update, and please comment

Darn... even begging didn't bring in that much response ::)
Joe: Thank you again!
Alfred.Jones: Thank you, I try to use a lot trees in suburbs and around the RHW (since walls make pesky sidewalks around them  :()
Maarten: Bedankt!

Update 4: Askerswell: Suburbs, Suburbs and More Suburbs!

Wealthy and middle-class together, near "Colyn Townhall"

More housing near the on-offramp and various civic utilities

Dwellers in and around the loop

Suburbs...

Workmen living near to a big avenue-roundabout. (I wish there was a 6x6 Avenue Roundabout!)

Overview shot, showing the area that is left for (industrial) development

More suburbs...

I know it's a lot of suburban pictures, but that's what the update's about..;

More dwellers near the RHW

P.S.: I'm very sorry that there aren't any cars in any of the pictures, but I just stupidly forgot to turn cars on 'High'...

Please comment, as it's always appreciated

That overview picture is amazing! The suburbs look so good!! Might need to take a few ideas from here for my cities. My suburbs always end up being deserts of houses....

Nice work as always casper

Update 5: Askerswell: Industrial Development & Random Shots

The sunken RHW acts as a green lung and a divider between the industrial and the residential development

Industrials near the Trans Chilcombean Railroad (TCR). The main railway is sunken, but the local spur is not.

More industry

Another RHW used as divider.

Close-up at the T-intersection, also showing some inner-interchange on-offramps, that have been constructed to relief the 20k+ traffic that had to use the on-offramp near the Chilcombe City border.

Downtown has somewhat grown, and some retailers have settled

More RHW

No update without Suburbs, ain't it?

Another angle at the TCR, show the railyard aswell. (me = not good at railyards)

That concludes today's update, and please, people, I can't stress it enough, commennt, as it's those that really keep me doing this...

About time I commented here...

caspervg, this MD is amazing!  I love your unique use of the RHW and your interchanges!  It fits well with your urban landscape and terrain!

Your sloping works as well.  It has a realistic appearance and suits the MD.  I look forward to more from you!

Hi Casper,

Good work on Askerwell here.

I have to admit that suburbs are probably my favourite aspect of SC4 - maybe because I live in a suburban town myself  :)  And it's always good to see how different people approach the burbs.  I like the mix of houses - mainly teh small ones with red roofs but enough variety here and there to keep it interesting.

You're approaching the 100 posts mark, so enjoy the promotion to Best Sellers
