It was recently brought to my attention that there was a defect in my Water Control Board, released several years ago. This lot was designed to work as an altenative to the Maxis Water Purification Plant; it turns out that it also created water, and acted like a water source. If you did not connect it to pipes, you never used it, but it was there. It also reports this excess water as being available, which skewed the numbers dramatically.

As it turns out, many of the properties Maxis assigned to the Water Processing Plant were either redundant, or completely useless. It appears that there was origonally going to be a sewage system in the game, but it was never implemented. So the processing plant is, in essence, nothing more than a building that removes water pollution within a defined area.

This lot will be installed to the same folder as the old, and will over-write that file. The new lot was given a unique Instance ID number, so it will not conflict with the old lot already plopped in your city. The old lot will continue to function as it was; new lots will function the new way. It would be advisable to bulldoze the old lots, but it is not strictly necessary.

Just in case the origonal file was moved on your computer, a Cleanitol text file is included.

Menu Placement : Rewards - Requires 3 SimGoober Water Sources to plop
