I was wondering if anyone can convert these over to using elevated heavy rail (Or is there a tutorial or something)?

http://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=12913

Is it actually possible to TE Elevated heavy rail?

Thanks for any interest?

Toxic,

A lot can be transit-enabled for elevated heavy rail. In addition to specifying the tiles as rail, a pathfile needs to be referenced for each of the tiles that will be elevated heavy rail. Some special care needs to be taken as well when setting up the transit-enabled tiles.

I'll take a look at converting the elevated rail set from that set later this week. I'm going up to the hills this afternoon and I have a live-action roleplaying group to meet with tomorrow. It shouldn't take me long to do it. It's much easier for me to just do it than try to explain how it's done ::) BTW, do you use Deadwoods' Raised Parks set? I'm willing to convert the station from that set too.

Hey thanks :)

I don't use his raised parks. I dunno how popular they are but I guess someone somewhere might want it (I don't think that really justifies it :D).

I'll go ahead and do them later this week. I just got home from being up in the hills for a few hours. I may have to start a "Conversion" set ;)

The converted Under Rail Shops and Raised Park Transit Hub are now on the LEX.

You will need the NAM and Deadwoods' Under Rail Shops, which were recently uploaded. You'll also need Deadwood's Raised Parks - Transit Hubs to use the Raised Park Transit Hub. The properties are the same as the original Lots. The only differences are they are enabled for rail and have the appropriate names stating that they are rail, not elevated rail like the originals.

A text Readme file is included with instructions for installation and placing the Lots. If you hover a puzzle piece over the Lots, the game will CTD just like it does with any other NAM puzzle pieces. This is an EXE problem that Maxis/EA probably won't fix.

Any technical support issues should be posted to my Service Station thread.
Any posted here will not be responded to.

The Raised Rail Conversions on the LEX have been updated to resolve a prop conflict with JBSimio's schools.
Please re-download to avoid seeing the NAM's Raised Rail viaducts at his schools.

This was my fault because I never recorded the Instance ID of the school bus prop exemplar I made for him &ops
