I wanted to know if there is a way to mod the game to create city plots larger than the 4x4 large size. If there is I would appreciate it if you gave me step-by-step instructions on how to do this. Thanks.

Well, unfortunately, the city plot sizes are something that's hardcoded into the EXE file and can't be modded.

........Ah well  . Guess I'll just have to use my time machine to zap back and ask the Maxis dev team if they could please create bigger plot sizes and/or allow us to change them while pointing my "lazer gunz" at them  .

Not 100% true there Alex.  It is possible to create growables larger than 4x4 in size using MAXIS buildings.  You have to open the lot you are wanting to change in the Lot Editor (LE).  Unfortunately, you cannot re-write the old lot but you can create new lots of different sizes.  So, if you use the LE you can create your own new lots with their own sizes and play with them.

I dont have a tutorial handy ATM... so you may have to search for one.

JP, I think he was referring to the actual cities--like on the Region Map.  I knew about the larger growable lots.   Of course I may have answered the wrong question too . . . what are you referring to by "city plot", Spartan968?  City tile size or lot size?

Or size of a region? For this purpose you just need to enlarge the config.bmp of your region.
