Title: Game will not load?
Post by: sEAhAwk fAn121 on May 02, 2007, 05:01:14 PM
Hey everyone i have a huge issue with my game. i tried to use the "windowed" mode on my game and the game was all laggy so i deleted the -w thing and it kept on poping up in a window. so i deleted all of my sc4 shortcuts... and when i went into the disk drive and clicked 'run game" nothing happened  ()sad()
also i cannot uninstall the game because i have packed away my disk 1 and my serial code and box in our recent move but our buyer backed out ()sad()
can someone help me?

Have you tried double-clicking the SimCity 4.exe in the "Apps" folder of your SC4 installation folder? You can also make a new shortcut by right-clicking it and selecting "Send to -> Desktop (make shortcut" (or whatever it's called in your Windows version).

Try the following: Check which resolution the SC4 window had when you ran the game in windowed mode. Now remove the " -w" parameter from the shortcut (if still present) and change the resolution of your screen to exactly the resolution the game had (say if your screen has 1024x768 and SC4 ran in a 800x600 window, change your resolution to 800x600). Now start the game and quit it again. Change the screen resolution back to its original settings. If you start SC4 now, it should run in fullscreen mode again.
