Emilin wonderful last 2 updates here and to ansewer your question it some how seems that the euro set is turned on in NAM, to correct it I would suggest going in and removing NAM and reinstalling it and see if that corrects the problem other then that I will be honest have no idea to fix it, other then asking in NAM help thread....   Onto the update I do love that big building, I take it is a civic center and where can I get that lot???

BTW Welcome to page 47 and you are now almost closer to 1000th post, ID say 79 more post to get there!!!

hi emil,
i missed some very good new updates.
i especially like the night mosaik and also the ped mall surrounding the building with that cool roof.
the billboards next to it are not really good there in my opinion but i am not able to tell you
why i think they look strange there  ..hmm

in the  night mosaik there is a chainlink fence between the rails and the road and and it ends at the avenue tiles. i think you should make this fence till the station building. that would look much better

keep up your good work and let me know what you think about my suggestions.

Great update Emilin! Everything fits so well together. I like the billboards, the tree with the little benches, the sculptors. Simply eye pleasing and very realistic!

You have stuff there I've never seen before. I must ask are these pedmalls you have modified or is it simple plazas with only no-jobs LM buildings next to them? And that escalators going under where are they from?

For the red triangles, I think it's called turning lanes avenue, it's an option you tick on when you install NAM.

Cheers!

Looking very good buddy.  The mosaic on the previous page is incredible.
By the way, are those scrapers in the last update hötorgsskraporna? :)

I agree with, well everybody commenting in this thread, really good work with your city. I really like the church and its surroundings and  it didn't take many parts of a second to see that it was your interpretation of Klara kyrka. I also like your "drottninggatan" and "plattan" and ... pretty much everything. It is not hard to spot what part of Stockholm you have been inspired by in your city. Oh and by the way I think that h&m is on the wrong side of klarabergsgatan d:.

They sure look like something that recently offended my aestetichal sense recently $%Grinno$% But here they look a bit more natural, even more so if they're not going to be boxed in

mesmerising work btw whats the IID of that base texture you use for your w2w streets...
NAM + CAM + RAM + SAM, that's how I roll....

14,000 page views! This calls for a mosaic! Haha, just kidding. I love your mosaics, always great. That last update was awesome, love the area with all the custom lotting. Great job &apls

It has been awhile since my last comment, does not mean I don't follow your work still.
Interesting to see how you are working with the lot editor to create this city completely according to your own idea.

Personal replies:

bat: Thank you!

Pat: Thanks! Your help is very much appriciated. I seem to have solved the issue with the avenue crossings now.

squidi: Thank you! Your input is very helpful. The billboards are supposed to be like advertisements for shows and exhibitions going on inside the centre, but I agree that they do look a bit strange. If it wasn't for the weird angles on that building I would have put them straight onto the wall, but that isn't possible, so this was the next best thing. I totally agree about the fence - and when I figure out a solution (if you look closely you will notice that it's a very thight fit between roads and real lots there) I will most certainly change it.

soulstealer: Thank you! Those are only plaza lots. But all the lots have road access if you look closely (it's just very big lots).

thundercrack83: Thank you so much, Dustin!

kimcar: Thanks!

bigberta: Thank you! Those are "hötorgsskraporna", yes. :satisfied:

antn: Thanks so much! I'm glad you noticed all the real places. And if the placement of H&M is bugging you, wait 'till you see where I've placed the Debenhams store. ;D

Simpson: Thank you! I will...

krbe: Hehe... of course they will be boxed in. I just haven't had time to destroy that particular part of Blackwater just yet. ;D

mightygoose: Thanks! I'm going to have to get back to you on that texture ID. I think it's from some japanese pack, but I'm not sure.

iamgoingtoeatyou: Thank you!

kwakelaar: Thanks! Good to see you around again. I'm glad to know that you like my lot editing, since I'm still very early in the learning process, I think.

rooker1: Hehe... thanks!

sebes: Coming right up!

Adept2Rock: Thank you! I think those are form the latin american bat site Capital Simcity, actually...

Blackwater: downtown backstreets

I haven't had time to open the LE so much lately, but I did manage to finish some backstreet lots. Nothing fancy, but here they are:

Looking excellent here emilin!

I'm really liking the little side alleys that have some nice cafe's etc in them, instead of road traffic. Very realistic for an old European city center. We even have a few of them in downtown NYC, the roads are so tight that they're closed off to traffic. I've founded that terrenced cities tend to be kind of cut off, but you've eliminated this feeling and both the upper and lower levels blend seamlessly. I do hope that there will be some grimmer areas in Blackwater though
