Thanks guys, I will take my time now.

But I have started to have a look in my immense gmaxfolder and see those thousand+ models sleeping. Had to wake them up and now it's time to do something and get me into this again. Hope I didn't forget too much about modelmaking and which ones are finished and which ones I want to release.

Frank, I will need to know which Final Sets you have, could it be the Mainbuildings and the Manure sets? Set One and Two?
Did you test the Manure set and did we agree that we consider it Final? Please let me know.

I found a folder of Set 3, the Silos of all kinds. I don't think I finalized it yet, but I will so for the rest of the week. I remember that the modelmaking was finished for all sets and all left to do was choosing the right ones for release.
Set 5 (Machinery and Implements) will be only half when uploading, but there will be an Add-On later to complete the set. There are too many things yet to finally texture and render for this specific set.
Set 4 , Sheds and other Bldgs, is being worked on to choose the right models and verify the scales ingame.

Actually I am doing very well healthwise, except for my "endless tireness" which I experience. I could sleep for 20hrs/day, but I guess that is what my body wants and needs.

Will be back with some pics soon.............

Fred

Hi Fred,

Good to hear you are doing better and better.

I have the MFP set 1 Mainbuildings and the MFP Set 2 Manure. We agreed that both are final as I have them here.
If I can help you with testing scale and/or quality of texturing or just plain selecting which ones to use in the final sets just send me a bunch!

.....or just plain selecting which ones to use in the final sets just send me a bunch!

.....too complicated, I have more than a thousand models "flying" around in my gmaxmodel and Plugins folders, they're not organized at all and not even named yet. Most of them are just essays, examples and/or experiments. I will have to go through them one by one and then re-name them properly. More than 600 or so of them are just numbers..................

I know, it' s a mess, but when I had an idea, I built, gave it a number, rendered it and tried it ingame.

Sofar I have selected about 20 of them (in the siloset)  and I would like to offer about (at least)  30. I think I made about 200 silos, some of them will be added in an addonset later, but a lot of them will go into the recycle bin one day, or will be kept for use to modify to something else one day. ;)
That's the main reason why I haven't yet send you the latest sets.

Fred

EDIT:  For the scaling, I will do this at the same time as choosing and quick-testing, after that it will be up to you whether you find errors or a scaling problem, which then I will fix........ ;)

Ok, so then I will go on converting my stage 6 and 7 farms into useful lots like rewards and ploppable landmark.

Good hunting!

Glad your health is on the mend, Fred... :) Look forward to seeing some of the 'hidden' treasures in your gmax folder  :D

Just lurking in wait, Fred:-)... Glad you're better.

Getting better every day, it shouldn't be long, maybe a week or so and I will show my first part of the silos.

I have made some 300+ models of silos, but I am right now choosing only 30 or a little more for the Siloset, finalizing and pre-testing them. I found some 65 that I have rendered last fall in my model folder (that actually holds 184 GB's of gmax, 3dMax and sketchup models and some finished props, all sorts) I think it must be between 7000 and 8000 files in all, or maybe more, I did not count them.
This is partially why it takes so long,  %confuso  it is a real mess  :'(  of finished and unfinished stuff, some rendered and some not. Just going through all this awakens a lot of souvenirs and will take some time.

Right now I have chosen about 2 dozen of the silos, they're all rendered, and pre-tested. Another  5 to 10 and then they'll be off to FrankU and I will continue to get the Sheds in order after.
In between I will make sure that a picture will shown here of each model, as I did before with the barns and manure models of the MFP1 set.

Like I said before, 95% of all the models in the MFP1 Set are finished, almost all of them are rendered and only a few left to choose and pre-tested and then packaging. Most of the unfinished stuff is in the last set, the Machinery and implements, which also will only be uploaded partially, the rest will come later in an Add-on set..

I will be back either later this week or at the next weekend.  ;D

Hey Fred,

Any news from you? hope you are fine and going along nice ;)

cheers,

GnL

GnL,

I'm still around, somehow hanging in there, so to speak......lol. I come here almost everyday or so. No, but my health is having a difficult time since the summer heat started here in Quebec and I am also under medical surveillance, concerning my severe heart fibrilations. The testing to find the exact spot to " burn out" on my heart is been active since 3 months now. I wear a machine that records the auriculary fibrilations  sometimes and this should bring them (Specialists) an idea how and mostly where, to "fix" this problem.
It ain't easy for me since I also have astma and 2nd degree diabetics, plus some arthritis here and there. The moral though is still quite solid......lol.

Once in awhile I render a model of the MFP1, then I can't find or remember where the heck I put the others.....lol....then I search for those I can't find and once found, I lost the one that I rendered like yesterday. Geeeeeeeeez!! Imagine my face with that word. ;)

Anyways, I started all over, find the good ones and re-render those I can't find or which I am not sure if it was the right one, test my bats ingame and place them all in a folder that is in a special folder., just making sure that they are all in one place, and the right ones of course.

The problem is that I have made too many bats (almost 1500) and they're not all small. And also some are finished 3 years ago and more, so I get really mixed up here and there, especially having kept all the other unecessary files (test ones, no good ones, experimental ones etc)

Anyways, I am doing more or less ok, especially mentally and hopefully my Dr is right when he tells me everytime I visit him " We'll find the problem and get you back on the feet again, promissed"

So that' s it. Thank you for asking and being concerned. I hope to be back once the temperatures and humidity is gone, so I can do "stuff" again and enjoy life to its fullest.

Fred

Hi Fred,

Good to know from you. I'm sorry to hear that your health is not at the best at the moment, but it will improve I am sure, and the docs will find the spot and fix it. Having a good moral is also very good, so keep it up! ;) looking forward for your full return on "doing stuff"

best wishes,

Carlos

Hi Fred,

I was getting worried too. Sent you a PM, but you probably missed it. No problem.
Good to hear you are still alive, and I hope you will be better soon too. Quite some health issues for one man!
So we will wait a bit.

I must admit at the moment my fun in lotting has vanished. Probably the appearance of your props in my inbox will fix that!

Good luck and I hope to hear from you soon,

Frank

mrbisonm

Hey Frank, never received the PM, not on this site nor on ST. I am ok, not very good to be honest ....but ok.

The heat this summer had some bad effects on me, so much that I couldn't even leave my home. I miss my new cottage in New Zea;and so much, but with my health condition, it is impossible to leave Canada. So, I'll wait until it's "fixed".

Don't worry, the fun of lotting you somehow lost will come back when you see all these props.....omg, so many and so good looking and practical too. ;)

Remember that I told you that I saw some nice farms in Skandinavia the last time I went and came back with some new ideas? Well, these Bats are almost finished also and will become a part of the MFP1.

I will render one next week and show a pic here, just to give you some hope and taste.

Hi Fred,

I took al look in my Sent Items box. Nothing indeed. I probably had planned to send you a message, but never actually did.
My memory is getting worse....

Really bas that your new house in New Zealand is out of reach for you at this time!

I am really looking forward to your models. Any picture is welcome.

And the issue of lotting: I was working on a complete set of Dutch housing lots in almost all stages and lot sizes, as a kind of replacement for Maxis housing. In the first place I am really missing contemporary Dutch R$$$ housing, which made me get stuck and in the second place making so many lots did let my imagination come to an end.

But new material will make me come in action again. And I'd really like to publish the farms set, especially now with the updated CAM.

So I wish you good luck. Not just because I want these models, but also because you are a good friend.  ()flower()
