I actually had this idea for a thread at one point (and promptly forgot about it), I'm glad to see it exists. I find it interesting to see where people are from. For starters there is a lot of snow in the world (but it sure ain't anywhere around here). I'd actually quite like to be able to say I lived at N1_2888's place:

A couple of pics of dawn, taken some days ago between 5:50 and 6:30 AM. :) I planned to take those shots when the planes were down last weekend due to the volcanic ash cloud all over Europe, but of course, my camera battery was empty. On the other hand, those jet contrails do add a certain something together with the cirrus clouds. :)

Taking my 4x5 camera out onto the front lawn:



Instead of using 4x5 film, I used cut-down enlarging paper typically used for photographic prints.
